Houston didn't make it? I guess most of the Katrina trash went back to NOLA.

Southerners sure like beating their wives and cousins.
Usually the same people. |

"Per 10k residents"
Chicago's population must even it out, though, that's still hard to believe. It also "violent crimes" not just shootings/murder. |

Uh, where is Shitcago? Not even top ten?? Bullshit. View Quote You do realize that the city isn't just one big ghetto, right? There are plenty of very wealthy areas and the population is larger than that of like 16 entire states. When a single city has something on the order of 5 times the population of Wyoming, it's going to take a lot of crime to bring up the overall crime rate. |
|
Looking at things per capita really changes the perception.
15. Odessa, Texas had 51.8 violent crimes per 10,000 residents Odessa is the middle of BFE. |
|
Thanks for keeping the left coast in there, Stockton.
God that town is a shithole. |
|
|
according to wiki:
St Louis Violent crime rate is 1,837 per 100,000 Chicago is just under 900/100,000 I dont get it |
|
Go Atlanta !! The Atlanta police failing to report crimes has paid off
|
|
This is good news for Detroit, we used to top these lists handsomely.

If I had the money I'd buy old school buses, armor them, and then offer inner city tours of the most violent parts of cities here in the US. I figure I could make a killing with foreigners who would like to see the worst parts of America but are rightly afraid to go there in their rental cars. With decent tour guides telling who was shot where, and why they were shot, the tours would be interesting.

Interesting to see how the per capita sorting changes what you would expect to see.

13. Anchorage, Alaska had 53.6 violent crimes per 10,000 residents
That's definitely going to higher this year. There was one week this summer where there was at least 1 homicide per day. |
|
Memphis is the Avis of violent crime: We're number two, but we try HARDER!!!
Number Two. Heh Heh. |

View Quote Not really, most of the description gang member/drug dealer/neighborhood asshole shot gang member/drug dealer/neighborhood asshole over money/drugs/perceived slight/woman/who makes better kool aid. Throw in a few robberies gone bad and a few innocents shot on accident, and that's about it. People who don't get involved in shit usually live a nice long life even in the hood. You might get your shit broken into or stolen, but people aren't running around trying to murder folks for no good reason. The fantasy is much more interesting than the reality. |

I think they're talking about people shot, not thugs shot. So Chicago doesn't count.
|

|
Interesting Rockford is worse than Chicago, supposedly. There were what?, 60 some people shot this last weekend and 70 some the weekend before?

Yeah Saint Louis!
We're number 1! We're number 1! Hopefully no one finds out our dirty secret... that being that we cook our books by having such a ridiculously low city population number so that our regular level of urban crime seems insanely high. |
