Ideally, you want to hit the berm at 90 degrees. Shots anywhere else, in water, on the ground, etc, can ricochet or bounce, and completely miss the berm. And yes, those projectiles can still be dangerous.

Not quite true.

An SBR with a permanently attached suppressor, assuming overall length of the supprressor and barrel is under 16", would be a two stamp firearm.

Likewise, a MG with pernanently attached can would be a two stamp firearm as well. Example: MP5SD.

Some of these are even 3 stamp guns depending (I think - no hk expert here).

They are cheap!  At least in the rarified air of the machinegun world.

On a related note, Let's say you order your lage upper today, and send in your form 4 for a MAC10.  Guess which one you will get first?

... Lage by a long shot.  Apparently it's harder to mail you back a stamp than to build a complete freakin' upper.

I don't consider the going rates of as late -$4,695.00 (for a M10) or  $5,495.00 - $6,995.00 (for a M11) cheap.
http://dealernfa.com/shop/category/m10-m11-and-uzi/
...but yes, in comparison to some machine guns they are a deal.

I got a Lage Upper.
Great Upper, great company and service.
If you buy anything NFA it takes forever.
It sure is a lesson in patience.

Here is some pics of the funniest gun I own.
Puts a smile on the face of anyone who shoots it.

I cannot say I have much trigger time on the Uzi, but I have with the MP5 in various configurations. My M11/9 with Lage upper has been every bit as reliable.

THE ricochet angle? Just about the only angle where rounds DON'T ricochet off water is straight down.

MAYBE 1/3 of the rounds you shot went in to the ground or that berm. The rest went clear over. Thank you for being responsible for them.

Here. Here's a nice little video to show you where your rounds go when dirt water-shooting.

Thanks for showing me that video but I do know that you can get ricochets at shallow angles. That was a very shallow angle that guy was shooting from on that boat. I think we will test this....thank you!

That's the one you want. Mac 10s are built like tanks, and having the 9mm barrel already installed is even better. Makes those mag dumps a bit easier on the wallet.

Lage has uppers for Mac 10s as well, but be prepared to be on a long waiting list.
