View Quote The scale really gives you an appreciation of the airmanship on that mission! That carrier deck looks tiny compared to the Mitchells. Great job. |

The hardest part were the decals on the B-25s but it was a lot of fun building it, I always admired the volunteers that signed up for that mission.

Well, crap. Looking at the pics, I realized I missed something. I'm going for a screen accurate Fury, and it was a M4A2E8, a diesel powered tank, but was portraying a M4A3E8 gasoline powered tank, with the engine noise replaced. All the 1/16 Shermans available, except for the Tamiya, are M4A3s. If you want a different model, you have to buy a conversion kit, or scratch it. I replaced the exhaust and the exhaust diffuser with the A2 versions, but most importantly, because it's the most visible difference between Sherman variants, completely forgot about the engine deck.
I think maybe I thought the stowage would hide it, which it won't. ETA: Started another build thread for it, since it's been so long since I worked on it that my original fell into the archives years ago. |

Just wrapped up this Hasegawa F-86F in 1/48. It’s not perfect by any means but it’s the first aircraft model I’ve finished in several years. I decided to take a break from HO trains for a bit and do some aircraft modeling.

I wonder if I'd have the patience or skill to make a scale 'boot-print stamp' out of an eraser.

Nice. 350th? Last time I built a Typhoon was before anyone knew what the stern actually looked like, so all the kits had conventionalpropellers. I built I don't know how many of the Red October kits and a couple of the DML 1/350s. |

Very satisfied with the outcome. Your rendition is awesome as well. Oh, I see you used a different Polish turret option. I used option "D" |

Oh, I see you used a different Polish turret option. I used option "D" View Quote Thank you yes I went with that option. You're right it is a great kit. The first one I built I did Russian. Then I wanted to do a Polish one. You did a great job on yours too! I'm finally getting around to filling a gap that I had in my armored models and that was lack of Russian or Soviet vehicles |
