The price of those grey market G36 parts kits are going to get stupid.

Meh. They sell the real deal to places like Canada but here they send that mess

so is that like $3500 then it takes another $2000 to put a folding stock on that bitch or what?

They occasionally release batches of those. For $$$$$ there are companies that “convert” them to G36 style.

I've always wanted one. Yea the mag cap sucks, but they're really unique and from what I've heard they're surprisingly good rifles.

All this is true. You don't really feel like a gun owner here, just a gun possessor. That said my buddy has a G36 I got to shoot a while ago. It was okay. |

I had bought an SL8 back during the ban. I am shocked to see that the current version still only takes the 10 round magazines. To me, it is not worth spending thousands to get it converted to the rifle it should have been from the beginning.

Of the featureless guns though the SL8 is the coolest
Die hards will use the receiver and make a G36 out of it This is a win win across the board |
|
Thanks. I’ve been looking for something that costs more than a top-tier A.R. 15, but that is also inferior in every objective way to an entry-level A.R. 15.

now bring back the P7M8, but with an alloy frame. HK handguns have been shit since they went polymer
|
|
How can anybody act like they don't want one of those with a G36 conversion

Why do people think this would have any affect on G36 kits. Really your only option to have one built as a G36 is Tommybuilt. If you want to have him convert your SL8 to G36 he ends up replacing almost all the parts, including modifying the upper receiver, and the conversion costs $1500, plus whatever you paid for the initial gun. If you wanna buy a G36 built from the ground up by him from G36 parts, it’s around $2800. So why pay the $2k for an SL8 and then $1.5k to have it converted and replace most of the parts($3.5k total), when you can just buy one completely built from the ground up by him for $2700

I’d just buy a Tommybuilt gun. |

I had a SL8-1 when they were first released. It was OK at best.
After having it for 18 years or so, I realized I never shot it. I sold it to Tommy so he could make a XM8 conversion. I'm not missing it at all. |
|
I wouldn't spend the money on one, but I have a friend who is an SOT and has a G36 with the happy switch. He brought it to the range one day and let me shoot it. I was shocked at how controlable the gun was.
|
|
What faggotry is this? Whatever happened to the semi G36 models they’d been planning?
Fuck, why not even a semi XM8? That’d be a novelty. |
|

Hooray!
A grey rifle with a single stack mag well that costs thousands to buy and thousands more to unfuck. |

Quoted: I agree. Those HK guys have money to burn though. I'll never understand because I'm a poor. View Quote I shot a few when I was in Bosnia back in 2004. The Bundeswehr kids loved them because they were shitloads lighter than the antique G3s they trained on. A bunch of them had broken stocks. They all had shit triggers and wouldn’t group well. I was issued a literal National Guard hand-me-down rattletrap of an M16A2, and it was a much better rifle. |

Not buying that abortion.
