I can tell you it has been sanded, stained, and varnished. It's rather well done; probably decades ago(it's a pre-'68 import rifle), but I would prefer an original finish or at least something with less sheen. |

Savage 101. Was at my local gun shop and they knew I like 22’s of all types, so they handed me that little gun. I had no idea what it was and that it was a single shot. I love cowboy style guns and thought the little gun was pretty cool and would be a good gun for a kid learning to shoot could use. Price was great so took it home. I fired it over Thanksgiving at the farm and had a blast with it. My 6 year old nephew shot it a lot over that weekend and still talks about it, he loved it. And like I thought, it was the perfect handgun to start a kid on. I’ll buy another one if I ever come across one again. |

 Helped develop this prototype semi auto .338 Lapua Mag when I was at Barrett. Then they decided to drop the semi version even after 2 countries showed interest in it.
