Which brings me to my question. Anyone have recommendations for a non-geofenced, user friendly, payload capable, and affordable drone?

Too bad DJI can geofence their drones, or I would already have one...

+1 on this question.  It looks like Autel, from what I see, but looking for more info.

Also, good to see you MHIDPA!

I opened YouTube yesterday and the video was posted like 4 minutes before.  I tried watching it.  I gave up about halfway through.  Way too much bro crap.  Could have been informative.  I really like the urban combat and recce series.  And his old stuff.   I wish he would do more videos like that.

The autel nano+ certainly meets 3 of the 4 requirements. But i'm not sure about load capabilities, if any one else knows that would be interesting.

I would imagin autels bigger drones would be more suited to the payload capabilities, but would weigh over the 249gram weight so require registration.

I’m sure the drones are flying low enough to be vulnerable to shotgun fire.

I can't tell if you are stating fact or expressing sarcasm.  But  from the video the comercial drones they were using had trouble going above 40m with payload.  I think that would be worth taking shots at with shotguns.

Now the giant drones from pics in this thread, nope.

Also something to note. The projectile THEY were using, was limiting them to 25m because they used a time delay projo (5 seconds). They tried going 45m with it, but their motors started to over heat. That said, lighter point detonated projo, can negate this issue.

That’s a huge spectrum band to jam.  All the new “good quality” drones are going to be using some sort of frequency hopping tx/rx.   And then what band?   433 MHz, 980, 1.2 ghz,  2.4, 5.8 , and there may be a few more available.
Probably a bit out of price range for the average consumer.

Yes, but definitely don't dip them in some sort of poison before dropping them.

Relatively straight forward, if you don't give a hoot about your own RF signals.

He's got that look - it's obvious.

Why anyone follows that limp-wristed dumbass is a mystery to me honestly.  Because he tells his deranged followers that he loves them?

Counter point: if it emits, it dies. You blast enough RF to jam the drones, you’re going to catch something like a homing version of a switchblade to your face

If you want to watch boring documentaries, I’m sure NutnFancy will make a 2 hour long drone video. Garand thumb is entertainment. It’s funny.

My guess is no. Its only for special ppl like .gov LE.

I keep seeing " well just jam it" there is just no good way for the avg guy who makes a avg salary to afford tech that can combat this.

Think the better approach is to spend money on detection which I think can be done.

Or train a hawk.

Does anyone have any more info on that or similar projectile?  Could have some uses for Paintball/airsoft folks.
