Gene Hackman

Does he hold the record for appearing in the most movies or does someone else? Or maybe appearing with dialog, not just standing there? Seems like he ought to, IMO.

Fuck Hunter
I'm with Captain Ramsey. Hunter is a little bitch. |

I'm not a sports movie fan (actually not a sports fan in general) but Gene Hackman gave an outstanding performance in Hoosiers. One of my favorite movies.

Speaking of horses did you ever see those Lipizzaner stallions.
From Portugal. The Lipizzaner stallions. The most highly trained horses in the world. They’re all white. |

Pretty sure that’s Christopher Walken Brion James (177) and William Smith (278) have both Gene (102) and Christopher (143) beat in acting credits. Even they are no where close to Eric Roberts, Danny Trejo, James Hong, and some comedian from India. https://www.imdb.com/list/ls083889656/ But there is a quality over quantity going for Gene and Christopher. |

The only actors to have starred in over 200 movies: Ward Bond (200 movies) Christopher Lee (211 movies) Danny Trejo (215 movies) Danny Glover (219 movies) John Carradine (222 movies) Gertrude Astor (276 movies) Eric Roberts (455 movies) He's definitely one of the best though. |

"Those sailors out there are just boys... boys who are training to do a terrible and unthinkable thing, and if that ever occurs the only reassurance they'll have that they're doing the proper thing is gonna derive from their unqualified belief in the unified chain of command"

And do they even count if all his films were viewed through cable scrambling with a complex methodology that included thorough pausing and un-pausing? |

Uncommon Valor - 80s B-grade action movie, and he just kills it the whole way through. His paraphrasing of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar is both better and more concise than the original.

Quoted: Cpl Eugene Hackman, USMC 1946-1951 https://blog.togetherweserved.com/app/uploads/2023/03/main.png View Quote You know, I've watched that guy in a hundred different roles and never noticed it; but now that you've posted his Marine picture, I can't unsee those big Dumbo ears. Non-sequitur, The Royal Tennebaums - another instance where he just delivered a terrific performance that was not inline with any character he'd ever played before. I mean, if you just look at the breadth of the different roles he's credibly portrayed well, that's a versatile actor. |

He's in so many good movies it's almost unbelievable. I just watched Company Business the other day. Need to track down French Connection and maybe the second one don't remember if I've seen them. He does good at the spy movies. Good clever sarcastic character.

Narrow that bullshit list to decent movies and I'd be interested in the results. |

By far the best asshole in any military command
I was slightly upset of his less assholishness in Behind Enemy Lines but redeemed himself in getting back his boy at any cost |

One of my favorite actors.
Popeye Doyle in French Connection. So many great roles, always believable. He’s a year younger than my Dad. |
