The movie had some quirks. That is for sure. Overall it was a decent movie though.
The only real thing about that movie that really bothers me is he is over 100 mph in 4th gear and approaching 7600 RPM when he hits the nitrous. That engine would spill its guts everywhere..... |

Nicolas Cage is one of my favorite actors I don't get all the hate..
he should have won an award for Con Air |

Con Air is one of my favorites, and he was very good in gone in 60 seconds. Don’t forget about face off and the rock either! |

It's pretty bad. No real dirving scenes, mostly just posing. The chase in Point Break has a goddamn mid 80's Chevy Caprice in a 4 tire slide around a corner more than once and it's not even a driving movie. Multiple shots of Eleanor look like they just edited it to look like badass maneuvers when it really isn't doing anything but correcting after fucking up a corner or something. It sucks. It's an image movie.

Quoted: I had a shifter knob with a button on it that said that. My nitrous is set up on a wide open throttle switch though and the damn thing would never stay tight so I got rid of it. View Quote My arming switch was on the panel under the steering wheel above my right knee and sprayed at wot |

Lots of blues, greens, ambers, Low key lighting. All dressed up but they go nowhere with it. The cast is really incredible though. So many character actors in this production. |

Word on the street say Raymond Calitri hired you an yo brother do a top odor... a odor that shoulda went to me.

You shut your lying whore mouth! That film is a masterpiece only coming in second to Red Dawn

All OP has accomplished is, reminding me the Nick Cage has given us so much.
Thanks, OP. |

I love that movie and there’s nothing that’s going to change that. I saw it in the theatre 2X and still watch it at least once a year, every year since.
Also love the entire F&F franchise.... True story ^^ |

It never ceases to amaze me how many people claim that was a good movie.
The plot was garbage and the acting wasn’t much better. |

How does one "teach" film?
You watch movies with kids and pretend to be Siskel and Ebert? |

I was on a "ride-along" with a deputy sheriff very late one night when a car zipped through town WAY over the speed limit. The deputy fell in behind the speeder and pulled the car over.........the license plate was "gnin60sec"....

It was a good movie. Have you watched the original Gone in 60 seconds?

If they just could have cut out 10% of the embarrassing cheesiness it would have been solid. Nic Cage, like John Travolta, just tried way too hard to look cool back then. The acting equivalent of wearing a Corvette or Porsche jacket to the bar.

Quoted: Depends on what you are in the mood for. Parasite is pretty damned good if you don't mind subtitles. Midsommar and Possessor are fucked up but good Joker was interesting. Good for a psychological trip. Good performances in The Lighthouse and Uncut Gems Knives Out for a good cast and fun mystery. 1917 (good) or even Greyhound (ok) for war films Those are a few to check out.
