View Quote Yep. Being in KC, Gates isn’t my favorite BBQ buts it’s my favorite sauce. |

haven't found any from the store i like, some bbq restaurants have some good ones but we've been making our own. Low sugar and spicy

View Quote Head Country is my favorite but Kraft original is actually not bad at all. There are some good BBQ joints around here with really shitty sauces (Gates and Arthur Bryant’s both come to mind). If you could sneak a bottle of Kraft into those places, you’d be shittin’ in tall cotton. |

Rudy's Original Sause is good.
Costco used to sell one called Johnnie's Beer BQ Sauce that was really good. The local HEBs sell one called Austin's Own that is really good. |
|
Best nationwide sauce that will please most is Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ. In the same realm is Famous Dave's.
Personally I like Head Country best but it isn't available up here except online. There are a few local sweet BBQ sauces that are exceptional. |

Sbr,stubs, blue hog, famous daves. Any of those will work for store bought.

There used to be a place in Metairie, LA "Luther's BBQ" that had a fantastic sauce for brisket. I found a copycat recipe online that was really quite close to the original.

I know I'm a heathen, but I really like Sonny's Original (can get it in the grocery stores down here). Also like The Shed, but haven't seen it for a while.

Stubbs is 1
I love Sweet Baby Ray’s everything else though. It’s solid BBQ sauce, really good wing sauce, and everything else I’ve tried from them is good. |

Don’t know where you are in MN, but there is a small company that makes and sells the best BBQ sauce ever.
Jim Daddy’s. Best place to get it is the grocery store in Baldwin, WI, but you can find it other places around Baldwin. |

Quoted: Mrs Griffins or Noble Made is about the best bbq sauce there is provided we’re talking about actual bbq. If we’re talking grilled beef or chicken or something, it doesn’t really matter but John Boy and Billy’s Grilling Sauce works pretty well on it. View Quote We have similar tastes. I have a homemade similar to Mrs. Griffins. I know everyone has different things they like with sauce and BBQ. I don’t like anything sweet or runny. |

Quoted: Yeah, for an all around universal crowd pleaser its hard to beat. For BBQ snobs, yes, there's better. The vast majority of the public don't care though. Saw this at the store the other day and picked up a bottle. Its probably my new favorite SBR flavor: https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3717/12846901004_c68b2d9036_b.jpg View Quote I'm not to picky about the sauce. I don't use much of it. |

What's it going on? Pulled pork I'll usually go with dry rub sprinkled in the meat and make a mustard sauce (mustard, Oil, AC vinegar, worchestershire sauce, hot sauce, spices).
Rib glaze will be some sweet tomato based sauce sometimes with fruit preserves. Brisket i generally go no sauce. As far as off the shelf I'll just get whatever and "fix" it. Although one I remember having that was pretty good was "Pappy's moonshine madness" as long as you like a fair amount of heat. |
