Where did you listen to him and what was your favorite 'bit'?
I listened to him on DC101 for years and then tried to keep up with him when he went into syndication. Although I liked just about all of his bits, I'm going with 'cooking with the hydraulics' since this a food website. Mrs. Baumgardner... |

That popeye sounding dude was comedy gold. Also a body builder with a hot wife.

DC101 back in the day. Remember why he got fired? Pepperidge farm remembers.

Never heard of the guy before, but the YouTube actually looks pretty funny.

I listened to him on DC101 when I was with VMFA-321 at Andrews AFB '88 - '92. The first time I heard him say " shuddering Shangri-la" I damn near wrecked my car laughing.

Have some of his skits on my mp3 player.
Love it. I'd say best skit from what I have is "Lost at sea" or "Hunting baby seals" |

Wow, there's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

Lived in Hoodbridge from ‘79 to ‘89. Remember listening to him on DC 101 after Howard Stern got fired.

Was that the guy that would say "gobity gook?" 93.3 WMMR had him on in the early/mid 90s. I used to pick up cars at Bordentown NJ and would listen to him.

No internet to look it up or anything. |

I was listening to DC101 back when Stern got fired for the one way ticket to the 14th St. Bridge joke. Greaseman was who they hired to take over. Dude’s real life was a train wreck but he had some funny sketch stuff. The “Law Man” sketches were always entertaining

Listen to him out of Atlanta many years ago. Favorite skit: Boy scouts holding the dixie cups.
|
|
On a TDY to Pax I saw a commercial for him (on a boat no less) but never heard the show. But I heard others talking about him.

|
DC101 when I lived there from 87-92. I liked the "West By God Virginia" bits.

“You wanna become a....LAWMAN?”
the Greaseman is a Lawman |
|
Got all of his cassette tapes from the studio when he worked there in MD. He was leaving when we were coming in. Stayed in character for the minute it or so we met, said we loved his stuff, and were coming to buy the cassettes. Also saw him at a chili cook off in Alexandria with his blonde trophy wife on stage with him. This was mid 80s. Brilliant, funny skits, but bad judgement brought him down.

DC101. For some reason I always remember the Carlos bite. Liked his show better than Stern.

Man oh man. Used to listen to him out of Atlanta. Pure comedy gold. I guess I'll Google him go see, but everyone keeps saying he made some bad decisions??? What he do?

My Dad and I used to shoot skeet with him out at National Capital Trap and Skeet Club. At the range he was just "Doug." Nice guy.

|
WYSP philly. I was a teenager when he was on there and his shit used to crack me up. I have a ton of his stuff on mp3, and sometimes I listen to good ship grease bits while I'm working on my boat.
