Guys with plate carriers, do you wear them? or do they just sit in the closet?
Not talking the high speed guys that use them day to day, but the Walter Mitty owners. |

Mine spent a lot of time on my kids playing airsoft, with doubled cardboard plates. I put it on once in a while when busy in my shop just to make sure it still fits well and is not damaged. If you see me out and about in it, something bad is happening.

I’ll wear them out shooting if I go to the desert.
They get out a few times a year. When I start running with weight again, I’ll take the mags and accessories off and run with the plates inside. |

I wear mine and sit in the closet. Honestly I've spent more time wearing it while making adjustments and changes, than I have trained with it. I know I need to change that. I usually just wear it at nod shoots. Belt most other times. I'd like to train in it more.

I wear mine for training. But I have others that sit in the closet or trunk.

Mine used to sit in the closet on a hangar, but now it’s gets used on walks and at the gym. Starting to stink, might go back in the closet.

Wear my shit tier plates probably once every couple of weeks when working from home, not to larp but just to stay used to the weight. It normalizes it a bit just to wear them doing your everyday stuff.
Then when I go shooting on my property I wear my lightweight set. ETA: I don't understand the mentality of not using your PC or NODs; just throw them on to get used to the weight, sort of like rucking but just your usual 10,000 steps around the house. And use your NODs at night to look at, or do, interesting things you wouldn't otherwise see/do. |
|
mine sits on a hangar in the closet. i try to jog with it like twice a year, but then again, my plan is for someone to give me a lane where i die in place gloriously to inspire all the rest of you.

I only wore mine on the way to work one morning in September of 2001.

Every range outing. No matter what I'm doing. Operating with one lung, so no spare. A hole in the good one could get real in a hurry.

I wear mine to Walmart. Not to mention the mailbox daily as well. Never be underprepared.

I tend to enjoy rubbing my balls on mine while in the closet.
Call me weird |

I put mine on backwards and run around the outside of the house, sometimes my wife joins me.

I hike in my JPC all the time
We have several trails behind our house that no one else uses |

Some days I'll wear it around the house while working for a little bit of exercise.
I wear it at the range as well. You would too if you shot with the people I shoot with. |

I’ll wear them shooting on unsupervised ranges alone
Often it’s in a back pack hikingbto add weight. I also have sets that live in the cars. |

I wear mine like underwear.
My legs go through the arms holes and my tiny bitch-splitter sticks out the neck hole. |

Both, one to train in and one that sits in the closet.
Training carrier is different brand (cheaper) but setup the same. |

It's mostly in the closet. I did wear it to AT a few years ago. I generally only put it on when adjusting something.
