That's right, real actual "breaking" news in GD for once! As soon as I heard about a new "big announcement" from HK I did some sleuthing. Found a patent just issued for a new handgun couple weeks ago. Remember you heard about it here first: https://uspto.report/patent/grant/D918,328#D00000

Wow, looks like it'll be a p365 competitor. Smaller than anything else they make today if so.
I might just be a buyer. |
Chris Rock - What you want, a cookie?! |
I'm a die hard Hk fanboy, but that's not really blowing my skirt up yet. Time will tell
They are a little late to the game.
With that said, probably will be bigger and chunkier than the competition. That is my biggest gripe. I have a VP9sk and there is nothing subcompact about it but I love the ergonomics and quality. |
Might have to get in on that...if it really comes to market.
Neat. The "other references" make me wonder if it'll be a 1.5 stack or a double stack, though.
Yet another me-too in the industry of me-tooisms.
The OR fanboys won't like it. |
Mag capacity? Unless they match/beat the 365 or Hellcat it’s a yawn.
Don’t get me wrong, I like H&K but to compete they need to bring it. |
I love HK but no paddle mag release no care.
I’ll probably just keep my P365XL for carry. |
Lol they really must be ten years or so behind in Europe, micro compact with 12-15rd capacity are the new hotness. They should have come out with a P365 etc competitor, bad business move.
365 days late and about 450,000 euros short
HK still living off of their 90s legacy of being a mediocre SEAL pistol |
It looks like they crossed a reduced VP9 with a Glock 26 Gen 5. I like HKs but I’m not that impressed with this design so far.
If true, I would trade in my VP9SK for it. I like the SK, but it’s just too wide and heavy for a lot of applications.
Looks like a poorly done copy of a G43. Since HK is a lesser brand, it goes without saying.
Hk full size guns are almost low cap now, this probably holds 3 rounds
No paddle mag release, no pretense at any rail forward of the trigger guard, and... not cut for an optic? HK is living in the past. And I say that as someone with a USP 40c as my daily carry.
If it packs 10rds in a flush mag and is about 1in. thick, I am in!!!
An HK branded G43. Yawn.
Just give us the fucking P7 back. Differentiate yourself in the market you cowards. |
They need to make a modernized P7 with an alloy frame, slimmed down grips, and improved heat shielding
Single stack? Lol.
It'll be a lesser gun for significantly more money that HK dick-suckers will proclaim to be the best thing ever made. |
Quoted: October 2019 patent app. Not so breaking as it is now May 2021 https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/26697/Capture_JPG-1953610.JPG View Quote The patent was just issued on May 4 2021. Patent applications aren't publicly available until 18 months after submission or after issuance. |
Looks great, I’ve been waiting for a tiny9 that’s actually good.
A plague, aliens, and now H&K listens to market demands. Truly the end times are nigh!
I don't give a shit about the tiny guns trend, but glad to see a major player in the industry making a savvy business move. |

I just bought the Shield Plus a couple weeks ago.
I'm a fan of it. Mostly I fancy myself a Glock carrier. I've never been nuts about how bulky HK guns feel in the hand. I hope they're competitive with the Sig and S&W offerings though. Competition breeds greatness in the gun market. |

View Quote I've been considering picking up a Shield Plus myself to replace my current G43, which is my primary carry gun. I'm going to wait and see how this shakes out in the market now after we get an official announcement along with the specs and capacity. Assuming it's competitive in dimensions and capacity with the Shield Plus I'll buy one. |

So they took this long to come out with a single stack? Really this better be a stagger stack at least
