She's been telling me "I don't need/want anything", and I've fallen for it too many times, and been left dealing with a grump over the holidays
Got some time to run out and pick up some things today - what have you guys gotten for your significant others this year? |
|
Mine does this to me every year, very irritating.
I got her the pasta attachment for her kitchen aid mixer. I also got her new tires, but that hardly counts as a gift even though they are quite nice. |
|
We haven't exchanged gifts since we were 20, takes a lot of stress out of the holiday. It was fun when the kids came around though, because we can watch them open stuff.
I did buy her a new bowling ball and wrapped it up a few years ago. On the tag I wrote it was from the big fat guy at the bowling alley. I think for a minute she thought it was true. |

It's not hard to pay attention to things over the course of the year and come up with some relevant and thoughtful gifts. |

Mine is the same way, never has anything she wants and is really ok with not getting much. I got her a pair of Sonos Solo SL speakers, a new neckace from James Avery, weathertech floor mats for her new car, and a couple Funko Pops from her favorite show, Schitt's Creek.

Mine is on some crafty kick lately so I got her a Cricut and all the shit to go with it. Bonus, now she can cut out spicy meme vinyls for me to offend people with.

Mine does the "I don't know. I don't need anything" crap as well. So I started getting her gifts that I can enjoy. Guns . This year I got her a S&W M&P15-22 braced pistol.
|
|
I got mine 23 and Me with the health screening.
Usually I get her much more but this year has been crazy and nothing is in stock anywhere of what she wants. |

What’s your budget? A little late to buy. I’d probably treat her to a weekend somewhere. Hotel. Nice dinner. Maybe an activity.

I got mine a mothers ring with everyone's names engraved in it and she seemed to really like it. I gave it to her yesterday because we will be busy on Christmas Eve/day.

I'm in the same situation. She truly wants only one thing and it is absolutely impossible to make happen.
All I can do is give her hug and hold when she starts crying again. |

my mother likes to stop and shop at the local consignment store.
i got her a 50 singles as one of her presents and wrote her a note to see how many trips she can get out of the 50$ and she has to call and tell me what she buys. i got the wife some plastic storage containers that are always useful maybe a pen with a stylist on the other end for use at stores so she doesnt have to use the credit card pen |
