The dude manages to take a picture of a mirror without showing himself, his cod, or mutant feet. I am glad arf can still break his balls about choice of weaponry and devolve it into a dildo beating discussion. Don't ever change.

Yep, self closing drawer slides is an awesome idea. Should hold it in place so a deliberate push is needed to open. I’m storing that in the memory bank. |

If I had it to do over, I would have extended it back into the closet on the other side so I could fit my bump helmet with NV in there. I did build it so it can be expanded later if I can't live with it as-is but that's a chunk of extra work to make it look right.
I have cellular game cams on the property that alert me when coyotes are lurking around or various critters are probing the chicken coop's defenses so grabbing NV and a suppressed .22 is a weekly event. |

Pro tip, self closing guitar hangers work great for closet guns.

Also, a hidden gun closet is useless if everyone knows about it. Don't show it off in person...

Ive been thinking of doing something similar, but I would need a way to secure/latch it from above so a 4yo couldnt open it

I did not buy my fun stuff with the thought of home invasions in mind. Given my geographical location, political climate, a shotgun with 14rds 00 it's what I would grab in my situation. Plenty of stopping power and almost a guarantee to stop the threat DRT. Flame away. Why not go with slugs? |

Quoted: As a cop who’s worked many home burglaries, I hide my guns in my gun safe when I’m not home. In a burglary, a 16 yr old kid is going to rip every mirror and painting off the wall looking for dope hides or for this very thing. Your idea is very james bond, but it’s not going to stop a burglar. View Quote ^^^^^^^^ This This This ^^^^^^^^^^ |

Aren't those corners too sharp and pose a hazard to puncturing an artery?
Not only could they accidentally kill someone, but create a huge legal liability. And that mirror glass is way too shiny. It could reflect a laser sight and blind you. I don't think the wood color was a good choice. Looks too boomer. And those pointy elbows. GD |
