Re-direct it to a secured FedEx location. It will probably cost you a couple bucks but the thieves wont be able to get it.

Track and intercept the fedex, acquire all the packages?
Seriously it's not your fault, you did the correct thing, not your problem so let it ride. |

If HD doesn’t care enough to do anything you take delivery of free tools. Maybe catch bad guy and hold him in dungeon or something.

Sounds phishy to me.

Somebody other than you is expecting to pick up that shipment. If you don't ordinarily carry, it's a good time to start.
|
|
Could you have fedex hold packages at the warehouse. So you can go pick up?
|
|
HD pretty much only carries chinese tools, so they are all made of chinese pot metal. I wouldn't worry about it, you could plan to be home and refuse delivery when the fedex guy shows up but fedex lies so much you can never tell when they'll show up.

It's a common scam that they do with cell phone replacements too from Assurion. They track the package and wait until it gets delivered to your residence, then they steal it off the porch.
If you happen to pick it up before they get to it, they knock on your door and say that Fed Ex accidentally delivered it there and that they would like it back. |

Get nude, oil down, take a few viagra, drink a couple bottles of wine and wait for the FedEx guy to knock on the door.

I'd be figuring out how they got your info. Be home and to a fast switch with some boxes of dogshit.

Call the law! Do you have a shipping address? Have the pole lease meet the crooks at the shipping address.

Is it shipping to your address?
Bet you already called Home Depot to return this and they are sending you a return label? Yeah, thief already sent you a return label in hopes it beats the legit one to your door. The first one is his address but who actually looks at the address on a return label? Same thing happened to me with a Best Buy order. Someone bought a laptop on my CC and it was shipping to my address. That’s when I looked into this and discovered the scam angle. I get the text alerts the second my card was used and immediately got shit cancel so nothing actually shipped. |

Home Depot must have been compromised. My password is impossibly long and complex but I changed it and my CC online login password too.
Taking the day off today. I want to see who actually shows up. We're on a flag lot 1/4 mile from the road with total privacy from the neighbors so not the best house to use for this kind of scam. ETA: They ordered 5x of these: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Cordless-1-2-in-Impact-Wrench-with-Friction-Ring-Kit-With-Two-5-0-Ah-Batteries-2767-22/302675438 |

This isn't the first time I've heard of carriers claiming they can't stop a shipment.
If they're tracking the packages from drop-off, to loading it for delivery, to dropping it on your doorstep, why can't it be intercepted? They just don't want to? |
