I use siracha on a lot of things, but got a bottle of Hoffs "Smokin Ghost" hot sauce and it is great.  Got a really nice hot kick to it.  Recommend to others.  What are some other good hot sauces?

Reaper sauce.  My favorite.  Uses rice vinegar, so not a heavy vinegar flavor like tobasco.

Everything Hoff & Pepper makes is absolutely outstanding.  Their hot ketchup is killer and their Mean Green is just amazing on Mexican type dishes.  I'm almost ashamed to say how much I've spent with them since I discovered their products a few months ago...

I love these threads, you will usually get two types of recommendations…..the bottle of vinegar with red food coloring or the latest and greatest ass blaster insane, ghost, reaper, death etc…etc… pepper stuff.

Heat Level - Texas Hot Squared

The thing is, it has good flavor.  Adjust how much you use based on how hot you like your food.

I used to buy a ton of this stuff for everyday hot sauce usage. ESPECIALLY when it could be had for $2-$3 a bottle at the Dollar General type stores. Then it apparently got popular and its $8 a bottle now. Oh well, gotta have it nonetheless.

For flavor AND some heat: Sambal Oelek, Sambal Badjak. Unique flavor profiles.

I like the coarse blend chili garlic paste made by the same people who make Sriracha. Its a chunkier texture and a little less heat that Sriracha

And some chipotle Tabasco has its uses.

That hot sauce is absolutely fantastic.   $Tree carried it for a while @ $1/bottle.  I bought every bottle that I could find.  Love the stuff.

This has a very good all around flavor. Pairs with anything well.
https://heatonist.com/products/hot-ones-the-classic?variant=14718540284002

But if you want a bit more heat, without losing the flavor profile, add some of this until you get your preferred heat level. I usually add a tablespoon to mine.

I like my shit spicy.

FIGURATIVELY AND LITERALLY

This is their best overall as a condiment:

This extract in chili is perfect.

Their other sauces are good too.

The only one I don't like is the orange habanero. It just tastes... off.

This one is great too:

Not hot in the least, but I like Tabasco Chipotle a lot.  Their Habanero is excellent too, and actually has some heat.  The various El Yucateca sauces are all good.  I tend to use Lingham's Extra Hot in place of Sriracha quite a bit.  It's great on eggs, but it is fairly hot and quite sweet.

“The Reaper” from Columbia is the best heat to taste ratio but hard to fine. The top has a skeleton’s head and it’s pretty hot, not the worse I’ve had but it’s so damn tasty I tend to put too much.

El Yucateco for the price is a damn good sauce, not really that hot even their XXX formula.

This.

I suspect TJ's Habanero sauce is made by Marie Sharp's. Definitely has that fresh Habanero taste. Used to be $2.50 a bottle.

For some reason I don't like the flavor of Sriracha hot sauce.  I really like a mix of Cholula lime, Tobasco smoked and Crysta or Franks hot sauce mixed in equal parts.   I mix it all up, put it back in bottles and use that like some folks use catsup.  It goes on damned near everything except ice cream.

What is weird is that individually there is something I find "off" about all three of the sauces, but mixed together they seem just perfect for my tastes.

Hell yes I love fried catfish. Only homos and Commies don't.  And Yankees.

Sounds great. I'll try it the next time I catch a nice mess. Jugging season is right around the corner.
