I was waiting for a GD thread to hopefully explain this for me, starting reading about it last night -
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11269073/Pro-poker-player-accused-using-hidden-vibrating-device-help-win-130-000.html https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11269983/Poker-fans-point-suspicious-footage-alleged-cheating-scandal.html Anyone have any insight? From an amateur's viewpoint, this Garrett guy was being a dick and couldn't believe he could be beaten by her.. she could have just gotten lucky, but that second story with the ring disappearing is awfully suspicious.. Plus the whole refunding the money he lost, though she says she was "cornered in a dark hallway" so I dunno.. Is this ARFCOM-safe? |

No idea what’s going on, just enjoying a Nikon clad lass before the Arfcom prudence enforcement team arrives
|
|
I didn't even know you could replay the river card, but going all in with Jack high is nuts.
|
|
I'll say this much, it is far classier cheating with a ring than using anal beads.
|
|
Im pretty sure that casinos use electronic monitoring equipment to check for things like that.
|
|
That's the kind of call you get from an absolute poker moron if you were playing a 2$ game. No chance in hell a "professional" would make a call on that all-in with a Jack regardless of if you knew the guy was bluffing.

Girl: "If my Jack wasn't a club, I would've been out"
Guy (immediately calls her out on that statement): "What do you mean if your Jack wasn't a club you would've been out?" She was counting on getting clubs on the turn and the river? That's a very low probability. |

Him going all-in based on the potential of his hand isn't questionable?

The odds were 50/50 for both and she won. The only reason this is news is the vibe accusation, which also only is news because of the chess player accusing some other guy of shoving a vibrator in his ass. |
|
They both made stupid plays that they justify by claiming to have read each other. She ends up winning, so he accuses her of cheating and supposedly intimidates her into giving his money back. If she was cheating, why would she go in when the outcome was 50/50? Garrett's a sore loser.

Seems like her costume would give opponents an advantage.
I guarantee I could stare at the milkers so hard she'd never be able to guess a thing about my cards from looking at my face. |

The cheating accusations are ridiculous. If you’re cheating and you know what your opponent is holding you don’t call an all-in on the turn on a coin flip.

People that are questioning his play and calling it as bad as hers don’t have the slightest understanding of poker.
His play was dang near textbook. He didn’t put her on trips or a high pocket pair. Everything looked completely normal until she called. Looks like cheating to me. |

Calls that wouldn’t really be surprising, but obviously bad, at a $1-$2 cash game are routine. |

What is ridiculous is his complaining about her play & accusing her of cheating. He’s routinely the best player in these games and has won a huge amount of money from them. He should welcome opponents like the lady here who make poor decisions and more often than not loose money to him. |

View Quote You call or raise if you just don't care. Like sponsored insta-thots don't care about money. In light of the accusations from the chess match, I'm not putting it past an attention whore to do it so she can gain some fame as the new fresh face in the professional poker world. Once some people get a taste of fame, they can't get enough. It's worse than heroin. They just can't satisfy that need and will do whatever it takes to get that high again. I personally don't care if anything happened. I see two attention whores vying for more attention than the other. If I ran the game, they'd both be gone. Permanently. **Spelling error |

Andy Stacks was sitting next to her. After the hand while Robbi was explaining, Andy made eye contact with Garret and smirked. He knew something smelled fishy.
|

That was fishy as fuck. Who calls with jack-shit? He had every reason to play his hand. She had no reason to think she'd win unless someone that knew his hand told her.

He mad he lost to da titties !!
seriously, that dude is a giant douche, who lost on a bad beat. The odds were in his favor, until they weren't. that's why its called gambling. no way she knew what that last card was gonna be. she got lucky. |

Been following this the last couple days. She is either really fucking dumb or she has a wireless vibrator that someone is using to let her know when she is good.

View Quote Without seeing the cards like the veiwer can, in her head she should know that there's 30+ card combinations that can beat her jack high and she still puts all her chips in with a call. He has great reason to bluff. In his head a massive bet wins him the pot and he still has good outs even if she has a decent hand. There's 12 single cards in the deck that beat her hand, not including pocket pairs or board pairs. Calling a massive bet like that knowing pretty much everything in the deck beats you is incredibly stupid. This is the kind of play that infuriates poker players, even if she's not cheating. It could very well be that she's an actual completely bad poler player who ended up in a pro game and she didn't cheat. |

I'm not a poker player. Can someone explain, like in "to a five year old" terms, how what she allegedly did is cheating?
