Ehhhhh.... While I'm not about to turn down a Chicago style if it's done well, I prefer New York style and the other variants ahead of Chigaco. I have had good ones, but that really is more of a "pie" and less of a "pizza".

You can't just pick up a slice and eat it while drinking a beer and watching the game. If is more of a "sit down at the table with proper utensils" type deal. (Which is probably why I rarely eat it) Which brings up another valid question. Knife and fork for pizza? |

I've been out to Tempe a handful of times and have family a couple hours from you. The pizza ain't the same. I can tell some good inside stories of pizza making, for example how the water used to make pizza dough drastically changes the taste and that people have done murder for hire plots because of certain recipies, but I find the tomato sauce and cheese to be the biggest factors in pizza making. Hopefully we can all agree that Chicago style pizza sucks. |

Some places here import or change the water to match even... bet one cant even tell. Sauce, dough, and cheese are the three base components you need to nail.. rest is just icing on the cake. |
