For the next couple days. He’s a good kid and trying to improve his life. What life advice would you give him?

In.
And that’s not a kid. Either both of you are on the down low or you are about to make some homeowners claims. Or both. |

Lord loves a working man; don't trust whitey; see a doctor and get rid of it.

There's a reason why stereotypes exist. Hope they are wrong for your sake.

I saw an episode of the First 48 with this exact plot. Didn't go well.

Are you planning on molesting him at some point? That creepy dem donor in Cali liked to do that. Bring in a homeless black guy, get him fucked up on meth and then he’d rape them.

I would say, introduce him to the trivium method and vitamin B. Particularly in methylcolbalmin form. Most people in this country have a vitamin b deficiency, it seems.

I'd say you have a 2008 account with 100k+ posts and a life membership and you know how this is going to go.

Most people are homeless because of drugs and/or mental illness.
They are homeless for a reason. |

Tell him to join the military. Yeah it sucks but being homeless sucks even more.

|
Next couple of days, LOL
He will be there for at least 87 days. |
|
This sounds similar to other news stories I've read on here from time to time.

Dibs on whatever he doesn't steal after he kills you in your sleep

Why does he have to be a black guy? Why can't he just be a guy? Actually, did you even ask him if he identifies as a guy? You're a nazi.

Praise him for what he’s doing well.
Tell him when it gets hard, push through. Have him watch some inspirational videos about others pulling themselves out of the gutter. Tell him he may have to start out with a job that sucks, but to keep at it and he’ll work his way up. Maybe at the company he’s at, or if the gov keeps paying people to stay home, plenty of jobs to be had and he can job hop up to better. Tell him while it may sound tempting to let the gov take care of you with unemployment, he should have more respect for himself, and don’t get under their boot because once you’re under their boot of being their dependent and thinking you’re a victim, you will be a victim. Don’t accept that, demand and push for better, by building it himself with hard work. He’ll have hard times, and some failures, but he shouldn’t let that get him down. You gotta get back up on the horse, and in the long run, it will pay off, so don’t be discouraged. It’s not how you go down, it’s how you get back up. |

It's going to be more than a couple of days, man. I mean, I don't know you, but I kind of know you. And, I think your inner mentor might dominate too much of this decision tree.
I'm hoping it's just a couple of days, and this kid, yes, he's a kid, moves on and is all the better for your help and whatever guidance you've conveyed in the short time. Or, maybe this kid is somebody you've known for a while, and he's only technically homeless because he's pre/post TDY, or some shit and all his stuff is in a storage unit, or something? I wouldn't know. |
|
Quoted: given that he's homeless and desperate, possibly on drugs there's a good chance of that. OP, don't trust him even if he truly is a good guy as you say. View Quote Has nothing to do with his color and everything to do with that addiction .you're a better man than me ,OPGood luck |

Abandon 'urban' culture. If he can, join the military. Get an education. Get a federal or state job. Do his twenty and profit.
