Hope it doesn’t cost 42,000 like my broken arm surgery cost.
Rest well. |

I had an accident in 1996 that was head-on on interstate 81 where the engine came into the truck with me and twisted my right foot around backwards. They had to remove the meniscus, so I’ve been walking bone-on-bone for the last 23 years.

My doc says there's clearance but my joint hurts every time I try to step off the left foot. Attached File |

That pretty much sucks, but soon you should be pain free walking around.
But in case you throw a clot and die, dibs on guns, ammo, and optics. |
|
Wouldn't be ARFCOM if I didn't remind you that it's "lying" and not "laying" in bed.

The pain pretty bad right now. On a scale of 1-10 I want to rip your face off

I had my left ankle replaced Nov 7 of last year. Apparently most people don't even know this is a thing! Best of luck to you and the OP. |

The word you seek is 'lying', not 'laying'. Geez, they used to teach this in elementary school.

How old are you?
Will/would you be able to play sports after recovery? |

I didn’t know they could replace ankles. Knees, hips, & shoulders, sure.
Good luck OP. |

Are you gonna be able run faster and jump higher with your new state of the art ankle?

My father in law was one of the early ankle replacements almost 20 years ago. Until OP I haven't heard of another. For what it is worth OP, my FIL is going strong with his ankles. He gets an ache about once every three years or so. Generally when he plays too much golf without a cart. View Quote |
