The shadowed figure lost in a forest screams repressed homosexuality. Hopefully your new boyfriend will have better taste in artwork.

...your a moon worshipping druid, looking to have a baby with a particular woman, and that you are trying to shed your old ways and start a new life; all the while strengthening you relationship with nature.
...or... You want to tap dat azz in the woods on a full moon, and don't mind being the baby daddy? |

...What does the Art in your living room say about you?
I dunno. Fecking ask him. He is right there in your living room! |

You've had welcome to the black parade on loop for over a decade?

As others have asked, why the edit?
The work is excellent. It would fit in with my living room very well. |

It went from being in his house to being in a museum.

I was exploring lesser viewed galleries of the Louvre while my Daughter and her friends braved the crowds to get a glimpse of the “Mona Lisa” (which is just famous for the same reason the Kardashians are). I found an interesting Renaissance painting of the traditional Madonna portrayal except that she was holding TWO babies. I have often wondered what the artist what trying to tell us. I believe it was uncredited.

I think it depicts yet another example of a stupid person trying to be something he isn't, either imagining himself Lord of All the Animals, or Lord of All the People, or thinking he can get whatever he desires by tricking the gods with false pleas or bribing them with offerings. in the end he fools himself most of all. in this case, wandering around the woods in the dark with antlers on his head like an idiot.
does look similar to a Gustave Dore engraving. |

Strange it should be in Paris; perhaps a Jesuit brought the memory back from North America. Stand by. Lots of info; here's one link: https://allthatsinteresting.com/wendigo |

Why did you edit the thread title which used to say
“What does this artwork in my living room say about me?” |
|
That art represents Fred Flintstone coming home from his moose lodge meeting much later then Wilma allows him to stay out and facing the wrath of the wife that all common man has to face from time to time.
It is a classic timeless struggle that went on from before the dinosaurs. |

When I look at this painting, my first thought is Dude, you need to resist the urge to stop at garage sales.

Do you have Nordic blood, and do you jam out to Heilung in your living room whilst admiring the artwork?

Quoted: A couple of years ago, I watched a good French series on Netflix, "Black Spot," that featured such a forest creature: https://assets.cdn.moviepilot.de/files/51b329cbb55de2e1c8eb1dd8c9e958f75f9f9fb67848917aaee46cb6fdc6/limit/984/656/la-creature-mysterieuse.jpg View Quote Good series |
