The fact is that people chase a glock 19, but don't want a glock. I did the same thing when I was new to handguns, don't know why... but it was a mistake. For utility, I'll stick with the glock 19.

I carry a glock 19 but I shoot a S&W better......so I voted S&W since it's the "only one" I could carry since I shoot it best.

Vp9 tactical.  I shoot it well and the ergonomics are excellent.

Probably my winter carry gun. Doesn't IWB very good but does great OWB under a coat or sweater.

Have the Shield, like the Shield

My duty gun is a P229 in 40. I shoot the P229 better than my G23, because it fits my hands better.

I voted G19 because if I could only have one gun, the G19 wears better and conceals easier than the P229.

Glock 17, but 19 is fine too.

G19

I carry a G17 so it would probably be more comfortable anyways.

Both polls are flawed. Glock 26 is the answer.

OP hates short grip pistols unless they're LCP's or...at least LCP size.

Had 2 Glock 19s and a 17.  Sold/traded them off after trying out an HK VP9 so I could buy more VP9s

Of those listed, the 229.

However, my personal faves in order are:

BHP

USP9C

P6

Glock 19 is my daily carry. Hi Power is my second choice.

So the first thread (found here ) between the Glocks is a clear winner for the model 19. Now that that's out of the way, how does the G19 stack up to other daily carry 9mms in GD.

Your options are:
Glock 19
H&K VP9
Walter PPQ
Sig Sauer P229
S&W M&P 2.0

As much as I hate to say it, if I could have only one 9mm pistol to carry it would be my 26 or 43.  Probably the 26.   I'd rather carry the 19, but when it's 110 out I don't do it.   The 19 gets put away for the summer.

CZ P07.

As much as I like my CZ 75 Compact with the CZ 85 controls, the P07 would be my choice.

Got it all.  Reliability, accuracy and it fits my had like it was made just for me.

Yeah, I'd just stick with my Hi-Power, which is what I carry where I'm able to legally carry, anyways.  Especially since I'm not particularly enamoured with any of the poll choices.  I just wouldn't bother buying any of them absent some level of compulsion or artificial limitation that I'm unlikely to encounter in real life.

After the first few times shooting a Glock I knew that I'd never want to own one unless I did some sort of work that required proficiency with one (which I don't).
