NO. 1938 Ford Coupe, one of he last years on Fords of mechanical brakes. I could not stop going down a steep hill. Radiator wood blow out going over 60 MPH, no A/C of course.

It was a long time ago (55 years, I was 14) and even if I had lots of storage space and tons of money I would not want it. It did have a real cool crank out windshield.

I say a restomod the guy did a real nice job on, modern brakes A/C, still no.

Yes!
1990 Jeep XJ Cherokee. A red 2 door, 4wd, 4.0L with 5 speed. I absolutely loved it, but didn't have the funds to keep it and fix it up the way it needed to be done. It was sold new in Canada so the speedometer was in kilometers per hour.

I drove clapped out shit boxes until I retired, so he’ll no.

One particular car I owned in the service was a badly abused ford Fairlane.  It had only good spring/shock on the front right side.  I didn’t have door keys so I screwed on hasps and used padlocks. I also had chain with a padlock for the steering wheel lock.  Like anyone was going to steal it!

The tail lights were screwed on trailer lights. To make it look better I just ripped out the head liner and put a piece of carpet on the front bench seat.

The safety inspection for the Base Sticker brought out the Gunny who just laughed. I didn’t spend money on it because it spent most of its time in a mud lot as I was deployed a whole lot.

My first car was a 1960 Dodge Phoenix ...... 383 4bbl with a push button transmission.

I was 13 years old, and I traded a guy the Honda CB-350 I used to ride around the neighborhood for it.

Drove it home, and parked it in my parents driveway .....where it proceeded to leak every drop of fluid out of the engine and tranny

My parents were pissed .....

About 3 weeks later, me and my dad (him driving) drove it to a junkyard ...... I got to keep the $125.00 though

No ...... I don't want it back

I'd sure love to have it. make it look just like my Grandpa's he used as a police car when it was new. His was a D-500 though.

A totalled '97 Ford Ranger 2.3 gutless wonder? Looked exactly like this with a bright green pinstripe. I liked that truck but for a four cylinder it didn't get very good gas mileage and passing people on the highway was dangerous.

First vehicle I bought and paid for 85 Ford ranger 4x4. Can't buy now, been stripped, and remainder grabbed by the claw and thrown into the scrap pile.

My first car was a rust free 1965 Corsair that I paid 60 bucks for when I was 15 back in the ghetto.  Yes I think I would, especially if I could get it for the 60 bucks I paid the first time.

Absolutely. 1968 VW Bug, Baja kit, full cage, lite motor, transaxel and suspension work. Sold it to a high school buddy. That was back in 1981. 5-6 years ago I was back out in Cali for work. Drove through the old neighborhood, And it was sitting beside the garage at his parents house. Knocked on the door nobody home. left a note with my info. I would have bought it right then and there.

Turbo. And still 0-60 in 22 seconds Steering had about 30 degrees of play before the wheels responded. Smelled like dead rats because there were dead rats in it.

No thanks.

Hah! I had pretty much that same car in Germany - except mine was a two-door. Same color. Unbelievably slow. The parking brake also liked to randomly fail and then the car would roll away until it hit something else. I think I ended up putting chocks behind the rear wheels when I parked it after it wound up across the street a couple of times.

Fun times with Lemon Lot cars...

Yes.  1970 Mustang Convertible. Was plain jane white on white.

Had it all through high school and most of college, but blew the motor in my last year.  Sold it to a college buddy who graduated a couple years earlier before me, and who I met because he had a '69 Mach 1 (white) that I'd park next to at the engineering school.  He had sold his car, I guess, right after he graduated and missed it, and he came down for a homecoming football weekend while mine was sitting (I moved into the room he was renting when he graduated and moved to take his first real eng job). And he bought it.

He showed up a couple years later for a homecoming game, and had taken it completely apart in his townhouse garage and put it all back together with a bit more of a Boss look...basically did all the stuff to it I never had the money to do...beefed up the motor, 4bb, headers and dual exhaust, Hurst shifter, yellow paint, hood scoop, front rock lip, wing maybe, better wheels and tires.  Just had the interior to do to finish it up.  Was pretty awesome, and I always have wanted to do similar.

'68 Chevy C10.  Yup...

Well sort of.  I think I know where it is - and it's for sale - but it's too far gone.  Thing is just a cab.  No doors, bed, etc.  It's bad.

I found my Grandfather's truck - the family had sold it after his passing.  It was also super rough - but it's in the back yard now.  Don't know if I'll ever get it going again - but I can look out back and think of him.

First car… parted out what I could and sold the shell to a “we buy junk cars” guy. So… no

Second car (similar to first, just bought this one myself) sold as a rolling chassis to an 18 year old who basically gave me every penny he had for it.  I doubt that project went anywhere as him and his dad were clearly in over their heads. So no on that one too lol

I would like to have a nice example of one of these cars (3rd gen Camaro IROC-Z) but no way I’d pay the current price for one.
