Having had both, I choose an SUV. An SUV has just about all of the utility of a truck, the parts I used at any rate since I can count on one hand the number of times I needed a truck bed. The only thing they lack is the upper end towing power.
Sports cars are fun but I don't miss mine. Decent SUVs, especially mid-size and smaller ones, are probably as fast as the two sportscars I owned when I was younger. |

Sports car.
If I’ve got $100 million, I’m not hauling shit myself. |
|
Of the 2 choices, pick up. Otherwise there are a few other vehicles I’d rather get instead.

No. Never even wanted to. Not being snarky. Just a different frame of mind.

Then I'd take it to whoever's the current incarnation of Carrol Shelby and tell them to turn it into a high performance road car. "Do what you gotta do. Oh, and by the way, have someone build me a two-speed rear end in case I want to pull 1500 pounds of trailer now and then. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. I don't give a damn. Just do it. Here's a hundred grand. Call me when that's gone. Now get cracking, Sugar." Then I'd go to the DMV and order up a set of vanity plates: KMAMF. My uncle basically did that but with a ranchero |

neither, I looking for a large chunk of land.
As for vehicles I'd more than likely buy a tractor before either one of OP's choice. |

If I woke up with $100mm clear tomorrow morning?
I’d end up waking up the following morning with $90mm. |

Porsche and many of them
GT3 GT3RS GTS Turbo Air Cooled etc. etc. |

Probably a sports car, no real reason to replace my f150 even if I had all the money in the world. At least until I had a car to pull up next to it with.
Rather blow a million or two on a house and estate first anyway. |

I mean, they probably wouldn't wear them. It would probably just piss them off. |

If I got $100M, both. Destroy the first two to discover their limits and mine, then get two more, I got $100M.

And it remains to be seen if I would even ever buy a sports car, cause I just don't care enough. Even they are really cool when other people own them. Have you never driven a Porcshe? I understand completely, I asked because most people haven't. If you don't know what you're missing how can you miss it,right? |

Fully restored 1977 F-250 Coyote upgraded, slide in Camper covered in cheesy,KOA, yogi, and good sam stickers.
Why? Who the hell drives that sorta nonsense if they have 100Mil? Go anywhere, do anything, and everything, and be left alone. |

Truck. With fucked up hips, it's hard getting in and out of cars anymore...
|
|
Truck. I can use it to tow the sportscar back home since it wouldn't be street legal.
Seriously I would think about some sort of overlanding vehicle. Nothing glamorous but good for hauling me and some of my junk far from people for at least a few weeks. |

Pickup, I would need a second home down south where roads won’t destroy the sports car
I’m sure Stretchen Gretchen will get right in that though |

Assuming my sudden new found wealth is lottery, when they make you go onstage to promote your face as the winner, I’d say pickup.
First, I’d try to curry favor by specifically saying I’m supporting our US auto industry by buying a US pickup. Second, try and get some US automaker to offer me a deal as the one the newest lotto winner selected |

Had a couple of Porsches and 2 vettes. Also several pickups. Would get a hilux or Raptor.

Nice truck.
Damn nice, doesn’t stand out like some crazy expensive sports car. |
|
Got zero use for a sports car, so it would be a truck- kinda like now, without the 100 mill.
