I’ve long held the opinion that Breaking Bad is one of the best shows ever made. But I’m struggling with the notion that Ozark may be better. What do think?

Only been through season 2 of Ozark, but no, I don't believe so.

Ozark is better, if for no other reason that the main characters in Breaking Bad DELIBERATELY did shit that would get them killed. At least the main characters in Ozarks have SOME semblance of common sense.

No way. And I don't remember Breaking Bad pushing SJW angles like Ozark has.

No, both main characters wives need or needed to die though.

No
It's entertaining enough to see the morbid trainwreck and some decent storytelling, it's well produced, etc The parents in Ozark were always pure striver sociopaths. Basically ol' Pete buttgig types, who will do and say anything for power. Walter White was identifiably human, even when he did bad things |

I want to watch Ozark but haven't got around to it yet. I tried to watch Breaking Bad but it was just so god damn boring I gave up. Hard to imagine Ozark being worse.

Ditched Netflix but enjoyed Ozark... especially Ruth (language warning):

View Quote I think the real test is in rewatching and how well it stands years later. After watching breaking bad several times front to back over the last 5 years I've found it really doesn't stand that well. It is a good story but could have been played out in 2 seasons if the filler was left out. From that viewpoint it was not successful. Ozark i think will be comparable. |

It's right up there in my opinion.
I was unpleasantly surprised that the new season only has 7 episodes. |

I have to say no overall but the end of the last season of Ozark and the three episodes I nave seen of the current season are pretty damn good.

Agreed, Better call Saul is also great. |
