Local rescue has this pup listed as a GSD and that don't look like GSP pup I've seen

It's not currently biting the picture taker so...probably not?
Looks like Mal-ish face with long-coat GSD. My guess is more GSD than Mal. Hope it's being socialized. Beautiful dog. |

You need a new couch, shoes, interior doors, carpet, drywall, etc anyway right? What’s the worst that could happen?
|
|
Based on the mischievous gleam in the dog's eye in the second picture, I'll go with maligator.
|
|
That’s a good looking dog, if you are retired and/or work from home, he’s a keeper.

Notice the movement to find an attack opportunity? Maligator mix
A neighbor had one. Nice dog but aloof to me. |
|
I've come to chew your shoes and your furniture and I'm all out of your shoes.

The few I've dealt with didn't have any long hair. They were smoother all over than that dog looks. The color pattern looks more like BM than GSD, though. Maybe it is a mix, as was suggested.

looks like a mix.
The long hair is def not a maligator, but the face does look like it. |

Quoted: Quoted: History Belgian Tervuren are one of four Belgian herding breeds so similar that once they were recognized as a single breed, the big difference being coat type: Tervs (longhaired, “blackened” fawn or red), Belgian Sheepdogs (longhaired, black), Malinois (shorthaired), and Laekenois (wirehaired). https://www.dogbreedinfo.com/images16/BelgianTervurenRiotstandpath2.jpg No. Just no. Why? I have a Malinois and a friend has a Tervuren which as a pup looked like the dog in the OP. Awesome dog but I prefer the shorter coat. |

Heinz for sure, but mostly a German Shepard
Completely a gud dag! |

Next door neighbor had a pair of malinois mutt pups. They decided that they liked my yard better than theirs, so they chewed/dug multiple tunnels and holes to come over. Took out a few window screens cause they wanted to check out what I was doing inside. All my outdoor furniture now bears evidence of their teeth marks. I really miss those little monsters. |

What mix it is or isn't it's not going to last long. I bet they have a bunch of people already trying to adopt it

Oooh.. that looks like a good one.
The amount of high quality dogs that end up in shelters in mind boggling... and kind of sad. If you have the room... |
|

Quoted: There’s nothing about that dog that says straight Tervuren. As rare as Tervurens are in the US, do you really think a puppy is going to end up as a rescue in a shelter? View Quote I picked up a purebred 3 to 4 month old Vizsla pup from an animal shelter in Fayette-NAM, NC in the spring of 1995 . |

Funny how two people can look at the same picture and arrive at two completely opposing conclusions.
(Not a Tervueren camp) |
