It has happened in the running of the Derby before. I want to say in the last decade, a horse broke both front legs at the same time in the home stretch. They had to surround it with tarps as they figured out what happened and eventually put the animal down. |

Eight Belles, 2008 Derby. Fractured both front ankles while galloping out at the end of the race. She was the first filly to run the Derby in nine years.
Evidently, the on-site veterinarians made the call that even just trying to move her would have probably killed her just from stress of the injuries, which is why they euthanized her on the racetrack. |

Got a call from someone wanting a balance. In between breathes got told to “hurry up motherfucker” . Almost immediately get a call from el pres, moving offices and jobs within 2 weeks to the commercial lending analyst stuff. Yay no more calls with leeches anymore
