4% was the maximum budgeted for, so that’s what I got. Great company that’s genuinely changed my life and career for the better. The total package as far as compensation and bennies is excellent. Would have liked to see double that, but I’m still grateful for my blessings.
How’d y’all do? Curious to see how other companies are acting right now. |
We're about a month out on reviews, maybe closer to two; I'm very curious how it will go.
I've been with the company 11 months. Work from home making 40% more than I did a year ago. I was thrown into the fire with a massive project right off the bat, even finishing the development work myself (I'm the business analyst) when overrun and scope creep exhausted our budget and we couldn't buy more hours from the vendor to have their devs finish it. So I'm already very well paid for what I do, but I also could make a case that I earned a nice reward. |

Down sized in April
Retired No longer have to watch/endure the bull shit political game |
With 11 direct reports and a bunch more with squiggly lines to me…I hate this time of year. Writing the BS reviews while I’m handcuffed by HR within a couple percentage points between my worst and best on the team.
Bleh. |
We get them monthly. I haven't had a raise in 2 years and most of us got pay cuts recently
ETA: I've only had one bad review, my very first. That guy was fired from a leadership position. |
Merit season in first quarter. Fortunately we did away with performance reviews a few years back. Probably 3.5-4% merit pool. Raises effective April 1st.
All the money evaporated. I’m embarrassed to take this shit to my guys.
Pink slipped. Company had to improve margins and earnings per share to get in The Street's good graces.
We're just getting ready for pay pools that will determine our raise and bonus. We don't usually hear what the amounts are until Dec/Jan.
Got a jelly of the month subscription . I was planning on putting on a pool this spring...
Nah, but I did get a 80% raise a month ago. |
2 weeks for the paper.
2 months for the annual test. 5 months for the scrub. 7 months for the review. 9 months to find out. |
Nice
Meets expectations I’m planning for a 4% bump in February ish |
We do reviews in Feb. I’m expecting a 4% raise which means I’ll be making 16% less than this time last year with inflation.
I changed companies and got a 18% base increase, 6% bonus target increase, went from a 6% to 10% 401k match, and went from $87 out of my paycheck bi-weekly to free healthcare.
I’m awesome. I reminded myself that I’m awesome, praised myself for my forethought and attention to detail in planning 2024, and offered to provide myself a company vehicle of my choice. I politely declined the offer in the interest of being conservative with company finances given the looming economic issues on the horizon, and thanked myself for being such a team player.
Got about a 12% increase last year, and I expect no less this year. Company is doing well and still above the rule of 40 for SaaS.
I work for myself so my boss is an asshole and my employee is a lazy bastard.
As the owner I'll know roughly mid December what my pay for the year will be. I take a draw of $2k/month then in December I get my pay for the year.
My review is Tuesday morning, won’t find out about any raise until Dec 19 .
We are required to do a self review , and for the tenth year in a row , I’ve exceeded expectations Tuesday we’ll see if the boss agrees. Considering I do the same amount of work as our other two surveyors combined , I’m thinking he will . He did last year |
They’re bullshit but I try to make them useful for my direct reports. The major career moves aren’t made during a conversation about whether a raise will be 2-4%.
I had to counsel myself about my attitude and work ethic. It didn't go well.
I rebutted that I'm the only one that does anything around here, and things would go to shit pretty quick if I just gave up. Now I'm not talking to myself. Fuck that guy. Who the hell does he think he is? I'll eat some crow later and apologize, telling myself I was right, and offering up some profit sharing. |
My “exceeds expectations” rating got me a paltry 4.25% merit increase.
Yayyy. |
Got "Exceeds Expectations" and was put in for an extra 1% raise on top of the paltry 2.75% I normally get. The extra 1% has to be approved by corporate and agreed upon by the shitty union we have.
Been here 10 months and got 5+%. This is separate from cost of living rate adjustments which come every 3 or so years.

Haven’t had one in years but I did get a 20% increase earlier this year.
However , I usually do my managers reviews in January. |
Mine isn't until February.
I'm already compiling a list of counter offers/negotiations in anticipation of some small pay increase, with documentation |
And I quote:
"I can think of no known national emergency that would justify promoting this sailor to Chief Petty Officer." |
I quit my job a month ago and have been freelancing since then.
I keep getting calls, so I guess my performance has been decent |
"Exceeds expectations", got a promotion but they are still figuring out pay.

Or bust your ass and get 3.75% Oh, gee, what a choice! Way to stimulate productivity, you stupid corporate fucks! Never mind the fact that if we don't get a 20% increase, we're taking a pay cut due to inflation.... |

They are banking on people not wanting to switch jobs or realize that inflation is effectively a job cut. 3% barely covers inflation in a normal year |
8%, but that was because the new supervisor and plant mgr seen I havent got a raise or review in 3 yrs.
Best way to get a raise here used to be put your 2 weeks in and then they scrambled to find more money to keep you. UNfortunately for them, they are so short sighted that theres a number of areas where theres only one person that knows how to run certain machines in the company. I'm of them. Was off for a week last month and they were freaking happy as hell I was back. |

Fortune 500 company.
I expect about 3.125% for top performers and 2.75% for the shitheads My company thinks inflation is 2.75% apparently |
Excellent all around but only a 2% raise. So I put in my two weeks and got a new job with a 70% raise.
I found out I’ve been grossly underpaid |

View Quote The 80% raise notwithstanding, were you really expecting to get enough of a raise to be able to afford an in ground pool 6 months from now? So around $100,000 raise, with 6 months worth of it going to the pool installation? Or the raise was going to be enough to afford the monthly finance payments? I’m not being sarcastic, just wondering how that math works. |

My review isn't until March, then if I get a raise it takes affect in May
Im hoping for a 4% or higher raise this year. I took on way more than what is required for my position. Plus I am one of my most productive employees according to the stats So all that means is I'm going to get shit for a raise |

Piker! a 3.5% merit, then a job promotion and another 6.9%.
Fuck ya! was a good day today! |
