The only difference between the two is the personal values of the outsider looking in, and how their values line up, or not, with that is presented in front of them. No, it isn't. Explain why apples and feces are not the same? Why don’t you tell us how a transexual lesbian wedding is the same as a traditional wedding then. Because morons let the government get their hands in marriage, they are the same no matter how much you dislike it. Marriage should be a religious ceremony, not a legal status. |

Marriage was always a civil contract - formerly between the bride’s family and either the groom or the groom’s family, now between two individuals. God doesn’t need ceremonies to know two people should be together… He already knows. |

Marriage is both and always has been. Then you have to deal with marriages you don’t like. If you have the government administering marriages, you don’t get to use “sin” as a reason to disallow marriages. |

Just seeing this now and it’s already to page 5. I could care less about the gay wedding or choice if costumes. What I really want to know is if I’m seeing things… does that girl’s breasts have a 1 foot gap between titties?

Ren-Fest and Star Wars themed ones have supposedly been done very well (I've only seen some pictures), with honor guards being knights (Jedi or king's men with sword and shield) or storm troopers. Wouldn't be surprised if other themes have been done well (and wouldn't be surprised if I have seen pictures and have forgotten about them), but this particular one seems... ...odd. I'm not really into cosplay (wearing a tunic that I made, to a con in the early 1990s, is the extent of my first hand participation), but I am somewhat aware of it. The serious cosplayers seem to put some thought into what will work with their build (height, weight, body shape, etc), when selecting (or creating, in some cases) the character they are going to portray. Race and gender is also a consideration, but makeup and some other tricks can be used by some people to overcome that obstacle, while other people aren't really going to have much success in making a reasonably accurate portrayal. For example, many years ago I played AD&D quite a bit, and frequently played dwarf characters in the game. If I chose to do a cosplay of one of the game characters I played, the first problem would be that I am six foot tall, with the second problem being that I don't have the stocky muscular proportions for the race (though some extensive prosthetic work and padding might solve that issue, but why go to that much trouble when I am not going to solve the height issue). There are youtube channels that spend time on various aspects of making costumes and various props that go with them, so even someone without experience has a shot at doing the research and figuring out how to make a costume of their chosen character, tailored to them. The pictures from this particular wedding just looks like somebody was trying to figure out how to make their wedding different from the traditional tux (or suit) and white dress, and a suggestion of "let's dress up as characters" was made. Then 'off the rack' costumes were ordered from somewhere (with "oh, I like that one" being the only criteria used in selecting them), and kid's Halloween levels of makeup added at the last moment. And that's without getting into the other odd stuff involved in this wedding. |

Congrats to those crazy kids. Hopefully they can support each other through their lives many struggles and find jobs not working with children.
What I have learned today is There is someone for everyone. Don't buy your cosplay wedding costumes on Etsy. WoW is still a thing. JLC is not a MILF. If you look like Shrek go all in. Boobs can be 2 palms width apart and at different heights. |
