I think he'd be a kickass 007.
About time Bond went more toward the action side. He's English, born in Derbyshire, and well qualified to kick asses. Wears a tuxedo well and can back it when it counts. Daniel Craig looks the part, but he's actually a big anti gun metrosexual sissy. And it shows. |
He's the Transporter and Mechanic
Someone else needs to play Bond |
The wife would like that. I would also.
Edit: I thought he'd be taller. |
Too blue collar.
That guy from the Night Manager will be Bond. |
Bond is a smooth talker, all I keep hearing is "Dominic toretto, you don't know me but your about to"
He would have to learn to talk like a gentleman, not a cockney villain.

How about the black guy from the new Ghostbuster movie? Hed make a good bond.
Bond is well-dressed, handsome, and clean-shaven, with an air of education.
Statham is none of those. |
Can he grow a head of hair?
Everything I can think of him, he's bald. Doesn't work well for the James Bond image. As an actor, he'd be an awesome Bond though. |
"Jason, I served with James Bond. I knew James Bond. James Bond was a friend of mine. Jason, you're no James Bond."
Jason Statham is just an action star. He doesn't have enough of a personality. James Bond needs a personality.

Great minds think alike! View Quote Tom Hardy would be a decent candidate as well. |

Hiddleston is a hail mary all the way to the faggotry end zone.
They are taking Bond there, one step at a time. Look at where we've been, and how we got to where we are. We need to take this back. |

Not a die hard Bond fan but I do like the Statham movies. As stated above, probably too blue collar.

The guy who plays Jaime Lannister on GoT would be a great Bond, IMO.

View Quote That would work. |

View Quote Fassbender looks just detached enough to do it. 2nd vote would be Clive Owen. |

My Dad was a huge James Bond fan and loved the Sean Connery Bond films. Roger Moore was Bond when I was a teen, and did a goo job, but I was still preferential to Connery since I remember watching them with my Dad when I was a kid. I don't dislike Daniel Craig as Bond, because I think the role shifted to a more assassin type Bond.
But there are a lot of those similar movies (Borne, Mission Impossible, etc.) out now-a-days. It would be fun to see the franchise shift back to the tongue-in-cheek Sean Connery era Bond films. Probably never happen though. |

View Quote Daniel Craig was a great Bond. His series was the least cheesy of them all. I, too, vote Idris Elba. I remember hearing rumors of him doing it. I think he would be fantastic. |
