It is a NIB 2013 production over-run from a Colt FBI contract. Minimal collector value, and not worth the premium I paid. However, it's my rifle. In this country, simply being able to say that held a sense of gravity. Now it appears we have a flock of self-righteous dollar-minded pansies floating about. You have not the forbearance even to understand your shame, such children are you. Reason is beyond your ken. On a random purchase by myself. How many of you ***wipes could claim to have done better to have walked home with a rifle with a better story than this on a fine Wednesday morning? |

It would have been worth his purchase price if it did. That screenshot also implies that it was a rifle configuration “approved for individual use”, NOT one issued to active agents on duty and overrun by the manufacturer. So much bad info online, and evidently at the gun stores too. OP just enjoy your overpriced spur-of-the-moment purchase, and STFU about how special it is. It’s a 16” 6920 with some Troy stuff on it, there’s seriously not a thing special about it unless you celebrate companies that hire people who shoot unarmed women. Your “I’m rich so I buy what I want” stance is tired as well. There are lots of people here with more money than you and they didn’t get that way or stay that way buy making uninformed/misinformed rifle purchases that they need to justify with 10 of the same pic or buying toy boats that are more expensive than real ones. OP, is your gas block pinned or set screwed in place? |

This is a overproduction of an FBI contract gun. From GunBroker.com: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/824181766 "The LE6920-FBP1 is not a production model offered from Colt. This was part of a contract overrun that Colt had done for the FBI. This model features flip ups sights and a 11” Troy Alpha free float rail from Troy Industries. This model is built based off the 6920 line with the added accessories approved by the FBI." Sure, this could be cobbled together, but along with the serial number it can be linked to an FBI contract. And your cobbled together gun can be linked to what...ambiguity? At least the Gun Broker price for my purchase hit $1200, for a used rifle. Most of you just like to bitch because, I suspect, you never made it to that six-figure salary post. Or if so, it was a dual income situation. For the most part, your just hilarious in ability to not fact-check info provided, or simply deny sources provided. Certainly, a key to your lack of success. View Quote What puzzles me the most is why you would want a rifle that was going to be issued to the FBI? I see them as a rogue agency nowadays who recently tried to unseat the elected president of the USA illegally. Personally I wouldn't pay 5 cents for that rifle. But I see no problem with you splurging on a rifle you like...…..just the FBI rifle...….YUCK!! |

13629 is the cage code Colt uses now on barrels; I've got SOCOM profile barrels with the 13629 cage code on them. Did they come from some 'FBI over-run'? I think not. You're thinking way too hard, go shoot your new 6920 variant and enjoy it... View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Is it a contract overrun or just a configuration based on a contract spec gun? Springfield’s Professional is an FBI configured pistol but it isn’t a contract gun. Usually government contract guns have specific serial numbers and the government usually requires manufacturers to alter the serial numbers on contract overruns before they release them for civilian sale so they can’t be associated with the contract. For example Mossberg couldn’t release overrun MILS 500 guns till they changed the serial numbers from the “US” prefix, so they added an “A”. Pretty sure a contract M4 would’ve had a 14.5” barrel or shorter and a FBI specific serial as well as an inventory scan...
