Seen the movie last Saturday. While I liked the movie, and I knew kind of what it would be (like a Flight part 2). They did a good job with it, however; This CGI stuff is getting carried the fuck away. Some of the simple flight shots are CGI and they could have easily filmed these. This is a Tom Hanks/Eastwood movie after all. I would give it a solid 3.5 stars out of 5. It CAN wait until blue-ray. Were there rubber babies? |

Something no one had ever actually succeeded in with a large passenger plane like that before. 'Simulators' are NOT real. They 'simulate' and for something like a water landing there are way to many variables and 'gotchas' in the real thing. Most of the other attempts with large aircraft have ended up with broken up airplanes and some dead people. |
