Boebert was on Bongino a few minutes ago. She states:

• KM is only talking to them through intermediaries.
• All the concessions are mostly 'trust me' promises. In other words, they are turning the media against the conservatives. (Not hard).
• No deal on the horizon. In fact, she hasn't seen anything concrete.
• KM already trying to weasel around the CFG deal last night by using other PACs to diddle in Republican primaries.
• A chunk of the 20 don't care about concessions anymore - KM is a deal killer regardless of what he offers.

If you think Donald Trump has any cogent guiding political principles, you've lost touch with reality. And I say that as someone who liked and appreciates what he did. But, he did it all ad hoc, there's no core principles there, at all.

My fear in all this mess is the Democrats. They see the divide and disarray within the Republican party and may pounce to take advantage of it.

It would not be beyond the Dems to make a side deal with McCarthy and provide him enough votes to put him over the top.

Given how desperate he is to get it, he could easily give in and give the Dems assurances on such things as debt limit increases, immigration consessions and a host of other thing in order to get the needed Dem votes. . There's the added benefit of McCarthy 'sticking it' to his party by not supporting him. He's a slimy shitbag and I can see him doing this.

Number of votes until a speaker is chosen
Number of days until a speaker is chosen
Who wins the Speaker position

If we did days or votes until it is resolved, I could maybe toss in a pmag or two for the winner(s).  Maybe I'll just add a poll for now.

"We aren't gaining any momentum with Donalds," Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert told The Washington Post of her switch to vote for Kevin Hern (Okla.) instead of Byron Donalds (Fla.). "We need a true consensus candidate that can unite the Republican Party. I believe that Kevin Hern is that man to do it. He's the chairman of the largest caucus in our Republican conference and he was unanimously elected. He's a businessman and a leader, a principled man. And that's important."

Republicans Lauren Boebert (Colo.) and Josh Brecheen (Okla.) cast ballots for Oklahoma Republican Kevin Hern, chairman of the Republican Study Committee. Hern   who was not nominated for the speaker job   appeared surprised by their votes and laughed along with others. He has supported caucus leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) in the voting.

Republicans Michael Cloud (Tex.), Andrew S. Clyde (Ga.), Eli Crane (Ariz.), Bob Good (Va.) and Paul A. Gosar (Ariz.) voted for Florida Republican Byron Donalds on the eighth ballot. Donalds himself did not cast a vote when his name was called during the roll.
Florida Republican Matt Gaetz voted for former president Donald Trump for a second time.

Republicans Andy Harris (Md.), Anna Paulina Luna (Fla.), Mary E. Miller (Ill.), Ralph Norman (S.C.), Scott Perry (Pa.) and Andy Ogles (Tenn.) voted for Florida Republican Byron Donalds. All are part of the holdout bloc.

In the eighth round of voting, Republicans Matthew M. Rosendale (Mont.), Chip Roy (Tex.) and Keith Self (Tex.) voted for Florida Republican Byron Donalds. Indiana Republican Victoria Spartz voted present   something she's done since the fourth ballot.

And after he does, he'd undoubtedly use his newfound power to retaliate against his detractors.

The more this drags on, the more it becomes clear that he's unfit for the position.
