Look at the diminutive size of the guy on the left.   He's literally the size of a ten year old girl.

This army would not last a week in a conventional engagement before collapsing from exhaustion.

Its easily understood, if you take the time to study the human condition outside a very narrow subset of personal acquaintances.

every man should travel overseas and kill an enemy in close combat; if for no other reason than personal development

There's a reason coups are staged in 3rd world countries, instead of random individuals just killing the leader.  If you're in North Korea and you have the means and opportunity to kill Kim, you're probably pretty highly ranked.  If you simply have Kim killed, you'll start a power struggle which could very easily see you dead, along with your family.  A coup is a much better option, as it leaves you alive and in charge.

Of course, regimes like this know that, so they become very paranoid and are willing to kill folks for suspicion of maybe thinking about one day not wanting to support the regime.

Both his and his son's achievements are fictionalized, as is the birth of his son.  If you want to draw comparisons, Jesus would be apt.  Everyone can agree that Jesus existed.  Everyone can agree that the Kims existed.  Who they were depends on whether you subscribe to their respective belief systems.

not god.

merely enlightened.  he is simply a great man from a great family.  not unlike the bushes or Clintons.  have any of their exploits been exaggerated for public consumption?  does that make progressivism a religion based upon Obama worship?  (wait, don't answer that.)
