Trump is a symptom of the disconnect that is being created in this country between the ruling elites and the middle American population. Right now, everyone wants to talk about Trump, however he will fade from the spotlight and the issues we have will continue to get worse unless they are addressed. Trump became popular as he stood up to the ruling elites and spoke a populist message. The elites hated him and did everything that they could to take him down. The frustration in the country is palatable as a lot of people feel their concerns/grievances will not get heard. I think that the focus must be taken off Trump and formulated into a plan and political platform that can be used to create influence and begin to change the trajectory of this great nation. What he said resonated, but he was not the best messenger. We need to formulate what it was that was popular about his policies so that we can keep moving forward with a populist message that is desperately needed in this country.
The focus should not be on disengaging the electoral process but formulating a message and building a coalition. This is what the left started in the 1960s as they began to push Marxism on this country. If we can get this message out, we will have some surprising allies that will join us. I love this country and will not sit idly by while it crumbles. Below I have listed some major pillars of a political movement that needs to start sweeping the country. We need to demand the following commitments from our political leaders of all parties. It is not all inclusive, but it is a start and something that the average American can get behind without everyone screaming Trump or orange man bad. 1.An absolute 100 percent defense of the first amendment- no more censoring or fact checking 2.An absolute 100 percent defense of the 2nd amendment- It is needed to stop tyranny period. If the Jews had a 2nd amendment the holocaust could have been prevented and it could have also prevented slavery for African Americans if they could have defended themselves. 3.An End to Wokeness- We can all agree to love each other as Americans. However, this extreme Wokeness is the single most divisive thing in this country. If you do not agree with the latest bizarre statement from the woke community, you are labeled “hateful” and a “bigot”. If someone disagrees with wokeness they can lose their job. 4.America First- We need to put this great country first. When every problem in the US is solved, we can maybe consider sending money overseas. The homeland comes first, and our people should be taken care of first. We keep the jobs in this country and stop globalism from hurting us. We also need to secure our borders 5.Stop the Surveillance State- End the Patriot Act and any other law allowing our intrusive government to spy on its citizens 6.Focus on Economic Growth and Not printing Money- Allow Americans to thrive by unleashing our entrepreneurs. We can innovate like no other country. Our current leaders seem to be more interested in increasing business chocking regulations and printing money. Both only benefit the rich and crush the middle class. 7.Stop the developing Relationship between Big Business and Big Government- These two are forming into one ruling class and becoming overlords. This is not healthy, and it needs to end. 8.Secure Voting- The people have to trust the elections and their result in order to feel their voice is heard. I think this would be a great political platform that Americans would buy into. Right now, it is not clear what anyone stands for other than they do not like Trump or do like Trump. This is all a distraction, and we need to focus on saving our country. I am curious as to your thoughts. Jamin ETA Voter Security |

Aren't platform issues #1 and #3 in direct conflict with eachother?

Needs something limited powers of taxation without representation. As well as leadership structure of those whom presents the people not corporate whom lines pocket of theirs. Maybe throw in term limits. And Language as to how we elect officials. But overall good start @jman_JJE just what came to mind.

Agree. This is well thought out. Its the execution that is a mystery to me. We try the ballot box and get laughed at. We try peaceful protests and get laughed at. We try not so peaceful protests and get laughed at.
MLK was right when he said violence is the language of the unheard. |

Sorry man, but I'm already 100% on the secession bandwagon. Actually have been for a while, but now that's in overdrive.
America is lost. You didn't just lose your government, you lost the institutions that matter - the media, academia, etc. - and it happened decades ago. There's no recovering from it, and you're not going to take it back. I've taken multiple oaths to protect and defend the constitution, in multiple agencies and the military, and in the end I'm getting stabbed in the back for it. It's all just for show to them. Every male in my line has served in some capacity in the military for as long as we've been here. My sons will be the first to break that tradition. I'm taking down the American flags here. I'll fly the Texas flag. I'm not saying the pledge of allegiance or standing for the anthem, either. The time to take America back was decades ago when they started indoctrinating our population with socialist filth. It is far, far too late to undo that now. Good luck trying to take your country back. Call me a doomer or coward if you want. IDGAF. I'm done getting stabbed in the back by a country that rewards my service and loyalty by launching a coup against the legitimate government just because they don't like how the POTUS tweets. |

Outline the responsibilities of the federal government and put a PERIOD after that outline. All other responsibilities fall to the states. I, for one, am sick and tired of the presidential election being the superbowl of politics. We shouldn't have this much invested in it.
Decentralized, limited government. |

Quoted: How so? View Quote Just to get it out of the way, I'm no fan of 'wokeness' (at least what I think you mean by it). That said, you can't have a government party platform that advocates 100% unrestricted rights to free speech, but then two lines later fundamentally "outlaws" an ideological concept. Maybe I'm missing something though. |

I agree with the list 100% + the voter security issue. We need to coalesce as one right now. Glad to have you here Jamin, we need men like you. |

View Quote Agreed @Jman_JJE Hence the outright lining of what constitutes what’s valid voting vs illegal voting. I don’t think you can create a republic with physical/ monetary item whether that is a precious metal or paper money. Also there needs to be something surround ones defense on personal security in comparison to his fellow countryman. As well as the duties of protecting of protection. Language of due process and innocent until proven guilty needs to be abetted too. I feel personally in America you’re guilty until proven innocent rings more so now. |

Definitely in. This is something I've been trying to figure out how best to start for a while now.

Sounds like a good plan.
I am not voting for Republicans any more. |

I am in as well. And willing to put in effort. We need to fix this shit yesterday. Republicans no longer have my support.

I'm in. A few things we should consider. 1. We need charismatic and professional faces to share it. The sad truth is that the disheveled mass that walked through the doors of our capital yesterday was too easily mockable. We need charisma. 2. We need to limit the power of the federal government as a whole. Every branch needs to hand responsibility and authority back to states in measured and realistic ways. No more ATF overreach, no more Presidents getting elected because they are worshipped, and no more massive secret government FBI coverups. I realize some of this would require a potential convention of states to set things like term limits or spending power limitations in our constitution but those things should be considered at this point.

Well spoken Jamin. A coalition must be formed from the President trump ashes. Either we fight for our great nation or we, like the Germans before WW2, regret their lack of fight for their great nation. Read history and learn from others mistakes. Any nation can be compromised in time, even our great nation Get on board or be sorry down the road.
