Old Roman Map has Atlantis at the Eye of the Sahara

Lost Roman Map has ATLANTIS at Eye of Sahara Africa! (Richat Structure)

I didn’t even know such a structure existed.

And he's pretty excited about it too.

I'll watch it with the kids sometime.

Plato claimed it was beyond the Pillars of Hercules, but didn’t say where it was…….. that’s a plausible theory, but I’d still think it is somewhere in the depths of the Atlantic

I tend to agree more with Randall Carson about Atlantis.

Not saying that the Richat structure didn’t have an Atlantis connection.  Maritime people get around.

I have a Capt’n Crunch treasure map, it is equally as accurate.

The was no Atlantis, if there was someone would have shown up wanting reparations.

I've seen a few things on that structure and saw these guys on Rogan last week. Makes for a compelling case in many of the things he points out. I don't get why more research has not been done there and having that research easily available.

One of the many reasons I am here. I mean, people can make fun of this place, but I almost always learn something.

Are you suggesting archaeological evidence can change how an idea is perceived?

The only problem I see with that theory: there are a considerable number of very ancient artifacts (hand axes, etc.) that have been dug up within the concentric rings.    Many of those artifacts are in excess of 1 million years old, and date back to some of the earliest tool users that we know about.

So if a huge flood washed through and wiped out the city 12,000 years ago, why would it leave behind only artifacts that are hundreds of thousands (or potentially a million plus) years old?

One could argue that stone age tribesmen frequented the area _after_ the city was wiped out - but in that case, shouldn't those artifacts be newer?

There has been archaeological research at that site. But it's not mentioned in the video, presumably because it doesn't support the Atlantis theory. (see my previous post).

Yup.  Dimensions, structure, springs, location, mining, the legendary first king Atlas.  It all lines up.

They talked about it on Rogan. People have built their whole careers and reputations on the “standard” idea of history. To go against it is hard work. Close to impossible if you’re in the system.

Kind of like going against the church at one time. Any time you question history someone will have a problem with it.

With everything going to shit it's kinda cool finding everything we've been taught in the West is as accurate as a weather forecast without computers.

Unless stone aged tribesmen traveled through the area soon after it happened to find out why the fabled Atlantis no longer sent their tax collectors around.

Welcome to the rabbit hole

Look forward to your threads on the scablands, Carolina Bays, mid Atlantic trench, and on and on…

Atlantis was a real place.  It really did get consumed by the sea.

It was a kingdom or something.  They cover this possibility being Atlantis and the Azores… so both can be right. It’s all in the rabbit hole.
