More than a couple of decades ago I had a wife, two small children, and a couple of dogs. I also had a pistol, a shotgun and a rifle. Someone tried to break in at night. The guys at the bank encouraged me to go with them to get a handgun permit. I went. I liked it. I started shooting.
A little later I thought I should acquaint myself with the federal rules for machine guns. Therefore, I walked into the local ATF office to inquire. I was in search of the written regulations. I was shortly introduced to an agent. This greasy miscreant was a former college football player who rapidly began to sweat and to salivate. I noticed in his eyes that I looked like either prey or his ticket to promotion, or both. I had of course given him my proper name, address, and background. I did acquire the documentation that I had been seeking. Nevertheless, I will forever remember the countenance of this guy. I am sure he would not have minded ruining me and my family, however innocent and law abiding we may be. |

Compete at a local shooting range on the weekends?
Yea, undercover BATFE agents are there shooting right alongside you incognito. Not sure why that should surprise anyone. |

Our country is thick with people who are willing to fuck over other people so long as they get something out of it.

Not a fed, I can’t lie that much.
Don’t worry. I can’t and won’t turn any of y’all in or be used against you. “Man, I don’t know if (member) was selling machine guns. But I do know he hate pointy elbows, thinks .45 solves all, and ha a penchant to hate everything. Wait. He does like beans in his chili. Yeah. He’s totally guilty.” |

Quoted: Feds don’t need to monitor this site I’m sure there’s plenty of volunteers here that have them on speed dial for any perceived infraction View Quote This. The biggest enforcer of the 1994-2004 Assault Weapon ban, especially on here, were regular ol' gun owners. If you posted an AR with a bayonet lug or muzzle brake, you'd get multiple people demanding you prove it was "pre-ban". |

There was an ATF informant on gunsnet many years ago. Peacemaker was his screen name. There was several guys on there always calling him out. He admitted to working for the ATF.

Quoted: I bought a bunch of stuff from a guy running a business as Alpine concepts (east coast I think) A 240 barrel and other misc m240 parts. M60 pintles and other m60 parts. View Quote Same guy. It just bugs me that I’ve bought stuff from an ATF informant. I mean yeah, all the joking about fed bois aside, this bothers me. |

Quoted: Plot twist....there are a significant number of feds and cops on this site....I guess the moral of the story is don't involve yourself in shady dealing and illegal ventures. Quoted: Quoted: There's a member here who admitted that he would call the BATFE/cops if he saw someone at the range with an NFA violation because it felt it was his obligation do so as a commissioned officer in the Texas National Guard. Damn. Who was that? Would like to know the answer to this question also. |

You spread this shit you will own it! View Quote This couldn’t possibly be Greg, but if it is.. there’s a link right above disproving what you just said. I don’t agree with any of the bullshit laws they jammed you up for but you did spend time in prison with felonies. The fact that you are running around again with firearms and selling F/A parts is not a coincidence. You’re an informant jamming other people up now. Stop your fucking lies before you go too far. |

Someone here mentioned "249 kits" which reminded me of this case: https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/south-texas-man-indicted-manufacturing-ghost-guns-destined-mexican-drug-cartel
I believe he was assembling 249's and selling them to someone that was smuggling them into Mexico. One question was "where are the parts coming from?". Never heard any more about that case. |
