Quoted: I don't mind Sam being in the suit or carrying the shield. What bugs me is that he's has NO POWERS. He's not s super soldier. There are enemies out there he just can't hang with. Imagine Sam going up against Thanos. #InstantDeath. They won't give him the serum b/c of the Walker storyline. But sooner or later, Sam is going to have to power up. Either through serum or tech. View Quote This is kinda of the same problem i have with the DC Suicide Squad franchise. Literally half the squad has no super powers of any sort, depending on the movie, going up against something powered up and nasty. At least they name these guys a suicide squad vs pretending just anybody could step into the Captain America roll because of color power. |

Quoted: Neither does Black Widow or Hawkeye. View Quote True, but the writers were self aware enough to actually make a joke about how badly they were outclassed in the first Avenger movie. Also, Black Widow is genetically modified. Both aformentioned characters use ranged weapons. NuCaptain is neither powered up, nor has a ranged weapon to fall back on. The only reason the shield was a ranged weapon was because Cap had the reaction times and calculation analysis to back it up. DiversityCap doesn't have that. |

"The Marvel TV shows have produced varying degrees of mediocrity (shows Loki), wasted potential (shows Wanda/Vision), and, well, shittiness (shows Falcon/Winter Solider with the "you got to do better, Senator" clip). Black Widow was a dumb, overblown disaster that was basically the cinematic equivalent of watching someone murder your best friend, string up their corpse like some hideous meat puppet, and use it to act out their favorite episode of Teletubbies."

I enjoyed the Matt Fraction run on Hawkeye a few years back. But that Clint barton is not the MCU Clint Barton. The comics version was much more self-destructive, often made very bad choices and had several issues with his ex-wives. His hearing was shot. His body was broken, and yet through all of that, he still tried to do the right thing.
I just don't get that vibe from the MCU Hawkeye and I really don't view this as being anything more than a passing of the torch, or bow & quiver if you will. |

Wouldn't be surprised if all the chars are gay and trans in the musical. Also Renner has one of the most punchable faces on the planet. Is a decently good actor though. |

Damn, that M4 Killmonger was using was all jacked up. Two ejection ports and no sights.

Hawkeye has a real life superpower - he does not miss shots. He can mentally calculate multiple trajectories at the same time to create real time intercept points.
I did not realize Black Widow was genetically modified - at least that creates a reason she is a super hero. I always figured her only superpower was looking good in leather tights. |

Well that was the first episode of What If I found to be rather meh….

It was solid… Killmonger still was Killmonger, just took a different track.
This is what “What If…” is all about. Unlimited possibilities. |

Party pooper is comedic genius. I enjoyed it too.
That ending tho... |

Fun but pointless.
I’d really like to think there’s some kind of tie in to the Multiverse but the more episodes come out, the less likely I find that. All they had to do was say at the beginning, “these are the timelines the TVA isn’t able to prune…” and leave it at that, I’d be relatively satisfied. It just seems kind of pointless. |

Finally, Ultron is the threat he should have been in Age of Ultron. I always felt he was wasted in that movie.
Click To View Spoiler I was surprised to see the Watcher easily fend Ultron off, considering Ultron had all 6 infinity stones. It makes me wonder if he's incapable of accessing their full potential because he's an AI. But the Watcher! Power levels over 9,000! |

Nice wrap-up to What-if. I wonder, with the inclusion of...
Click To View Spoiler Gamora at Nidvallier with Stark, did Marvel not release an episode? And if so, why? Just watched the last two episodes. Great series and I love how they wrapped it up.
Be sure to stay for the mid-credits scene after the final episode. |

An episode that centered on Tony Stark was supposed to premiere in this first batch of episodes, What If...? creator A.C. Bradley confirmed to Polygon. But due to COVID-19-related production issues, the episode was unable to be completed on time for release, forcing producers to bump it off to What If...? Season 2 (which is good news for anyone hoping for a What If...? Season 2). |

I just saw the Fantastic Four (2015 version) a couple nights ago. Hory Shirt! did it suck.
The guy who played Reed Richards can't act worth a shit. Replacing a white Johnny Storm with a black: The only redeeming part of the movie was that it had one of my favorite actors: Reg. E. Cathay. Also taken from us too soon. |

heck of a way to wrap it up and tell a huge story.
Click To View Spoiler Also loved how the Watcher - who routinely broke his code in the comics - did the same in the show. Solid. All the "why did they pick *this* timeline to tell a story about?" stuff wrapped up quite well. Wouldn't have minded a full hour to wrap it up, but it was still excellent and didn't feel rushed at all. |
