A 40 meal with large fry will fill you up. |

Chicken Mcnuggets are probably the one fast food item that has actually improved over time.

I read that McDonalds fries their nuggets and fries in silicone. "Dimethicone" or some such shit. No thanks.

I once put away 40 nuggets because I got them for free. This was ~25 years ago.
My gut did not appreciate it ETA: McDonalds has the best nuggets hands down. My kid won't eat nuggets from anywhere else. I do like Wendy's also but McD is still worlds better. |

Dimethicone is This medication is used as a moisturizer to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (such as diaper rash, skin burns from radiation therapy). I find it unlikely they're frying fries and nuggets with it. ETA: This medication is used as a moisturizer to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (such as diaper rash, skin burns from radiation therapy). Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), also known as dimethylpolysiloxane or dimethicone, is a silicone polymer with a wide variety of uses, from cosmetics to industrial lubrication.[1][2] It is particularly known for its unusual rheological (or flow) properties. PDMS is optically clear and, in general, inert, non-toxic, and non-flammable. It is one of several types of silicone oil (polymerized siloxane). Its applications range from contact lenses and medical devices to elastomers; it is also present in shampoos (as it makes hair shiny and slippery), food (antifoaming agent), caulk, lubricants and heat-resistant tiles. PDMS is added to many cooking oils (as an anti-foaming agent) to prevent oil splatter during the cooking process. As a result of this, PDMS can be found in trace quantities in many fast food items such as McDonald's Chicken McNuggets, french fries, hash browns, milkshakes and smoothies[41] and Wendy's french fries.[42] Looks like I was wrong!!! |

Hooray for synthetic capsicum extract to spice up your fake chicken pieces glued together.

This thread is a good reminder of why Americans are so fucking fat.
Cook your own food...it's not difficult. If people living in grass and mud huts can cook every meal, there is zero reason why you cannot do the same with your modern kitchen appliances. Your body will thank you. |
