I'll admit to being a skeptic. Most of my "knowledge" about supernatural stuff comes from listening to Coast to Coast- which was a pretty good source while it lasted. ITT we talk about the various "tidbits" you pick up going through life. Not just life & death stuff, or ghosts, or whatever... but one liners about most anything, and discussing these items. 1. You must never accept anything from a ghost. This was in response to someone's dream about a recently-deceased loved one. 2. Supernatural manifestations increase in a household with adolescent kids, especially young girls. 3. You could have a Civil War graveyard and battlefield together with a lighthouse, and it'll be the lighthouse that is haunted. 4. Ghosts will follow you if you call them. I had a GF named Jo who was walking through a cemetery with a friend; he called out, "C'mon, Jo, let's leave." A male ghost named Joe followed him for months after that. 5. Ouija boards are... just don't go there. |

Lighthouses, definitely. Ghosts following? Maybe. A friend of mine in college brought a poltergeist back with him from a ghost hunting trip. It especially liked to throw things at you when the refrigerator was opened. I don't use ouiji boards, ever. I strongly dislike the idea of speaking with ghosts, deceased people, etc.

It's weird how supernatural beliefs are completely dying. Kids never tell ghost stories, never "see" ghosts, and generally don't believe in any of it. It's like the Salem witch trials period finally ended somewhere after the turn of the millennium. In reality it's likely due to the decline in being religious. |

Because they have brain rot from using the internet. When we (us older folks) were growing up, we told stories as means to pass the time. Didn't mean we believed in it. We were just trying to scar our friends/family. There's nothing supernatural out there. There aren't ghosts. There aren't bigfoots. Aliens are real, they just haven't ever visited earth. If they have, we would never know. It's fucking stupid to think a species capable of interstellar flight, has to get to a planet and use markings in wheat as a means of navigation or communicating. Or that they would crash. |

It's not been my experience. When I was still dating my wife, she lived in an old farmhouse, 100+ years. She claimed there was ghost activity there, the previous owner died in the house from a heart attack. She didn't have any family and she left the whole farm to my brother-in-law and his little daughter, who called this lady "Hattie". She had died probably 2-3 years before I met my wife. I'm going down there every weekend I can. It's spooky, but I never saw anything. One weekend, I had my 3-4 year old son, so I took him with me. He could sleep on the couch while dad handled a booty call. We wake up the next morning, get cleaned up, eat breakfast. He starts talking about playing with "Patty" all night. We about shit ourselves. I ended up having a situation where I heard voices outside the house but never could find anyone or anything to dispute what I heard. The nearest house was half a mile away. When we got married and moved out, my bil moved a new lady in the house. They lasted a year, they said the ghost stuff freaked them out and left. They can't keep tenants in the house. |

That wasn't a conscious decision on my part. I choose to take some comfort in the experience, but I tend to believe that it is just a quirk of my brain. Actively trying to engage in communicating with the supernatural is a bad idea. If there is anything to it, you're playing with things beyond your control or understanding. |

| When i was 15 I went to meet my cousins at my aunts house. My aunt pulled out a Ouija board and we played it. I had never seen or heard of one so I went ahead and 'played'? it. My aunt was a retired nurse and was taking care of a lady in her 90's, who was bed ridden. I went to take a leak and heard a deep voice calling my name. I walked into the old lady's room and she asked me to come closer, all in a VERY deep voice. She grabbed my hand and I could not get loose! I was 15 and fresh from a summers farm work, and 200 lbs, no fat. I could NOT GET LOOSE. Just then my aunt ran in and told her to let me loose and she did. Thank GOD. That was the closes I ever came to getting-what? Possessed? Who knows. Stay the fuck away from Ouija boards! Also, how did she know my name? |

I'm not sure it was supernatural, but when I was 6 years old in 1952, my mama and I saw, in the daylight and up close, something that, as far as I can determine, nobody else has seen---or possibly they are like me: I don't tell it because folks would think I'm crazy. I'm not crazy. It was not a light in the night sky. It was around 10:00 a.m., on a clear day. She got within arm's reach, and I watched from about 40 feet away. |

I love a good ghost story, they are just that.......... stories. I got a Ouija board for Christmas as a kid, and I played with it quite a bit. It was a piece of laminated fiber board and a plastic pointer. It did nothing cool at all, so I finally gave up on it. I still have it somewhere. |

99.99% is the same as any 'victimhood' manifestation. if you LOOK for it -- you see it. the other .01% ... idk. the human soul is real. Heaven / Hell are real. Can people be 'stuck' here on Earth after death? it's a possibility i'm willing to discuss. But the risen Lord Jesus is my Savior -- so i don't fear them in any case.

| I lived in an old house with a prankster ghost. They walked around when we were sleeping, causing us to wake up from the squeaking and thumping floor boards. Also had a thing about unrolling toilet paper. Frequently, you would walk in the bathroom and find the entire roll had unspoiled into a neat stack on the floor. This was in multiple bathrooms. My grandparents dog never wanted to enter that house and once inside he would be acting weird and watching empty parts of the room. |

One night I was listening to Art Bell while cleaning house while the wife and kids were out of town. the episode was about EVPs or Electric Voice Phenomena. They played a recording of a voice saying "We keep the dead down here". as a grown ass 30 something man, I had every light in the house on for the rest of the night

So tonight I was downstairs in my basement doing some CAD work on the computer and I swear I heard my youngest daughter say "help" right behind me. Clear as day and like 6' away. She was nowhere close. So I immediately thought maybe it was a sign or something. I found her upstairs and she was fine. Then I called my older daughter and wife too (they weren't home) just in case and they were both OK. Never experienced something quite like that. It was clear as day. Fucking weird. I guess I'm officially hearing voices now... |
