After some research it appears that the smallpox and monkey pox vaccines are the same. I had a smallpox vaccine when I was a kid and the “experts” are conflicted if continuing immunity lasts 5 or 75+ years.
I think I will take my chances that I still have immunity plus I don't have sex with men. |

I was born when vaccinations were still being done, and my dad assures me I was vaccinated, but I can’t find a scar on myself anywhere. Records don’t exist anymore. So if things get bad enough that they start passing out vaccines I’ll probably take one. This vaccine has been around for decades and we know all there is to know about it. Benefits would outweigh the risks. I’d just get the version that doesn’t kill people with eczema.
