Quoted: Thanks Ben that was a good one. By the way my son is a Marine and I was in the 82nd Airborne Division. To me if I have to fight with a bayonet that is a last resort and I've all ready lost. I have faith in my shotgun shooting as a NRA shotgun instructor , trap shooter and hunter. But I guess they can be cool as I remember putting it my M16. Yeah I'm older but give me a break. Take care in this sh@t ball time. View Quote Why wouldn't you want a bayonet while storming an enemy position, especially a building, where you may suddenly find yourself in arms reach of someone? You call it a last resort, but say that as if it is a defensive weapon. Think offense brother! I'm not sure how having faith in a shotgun, or being a shotgun instructor is relevant to that. But at least you aren't a leg like most the posters on here, so I'll give you that... |

The mind understands death by stabbing in a much more visceral fashion. "Lets avoid that smiling Nepalese gentleman with the huge knife" has been a successful survival trait for a long time.
