I would say Morgan Freeman , James Earl Jones and Sean Connery . On radio it would be Rush and Art Bell . Chime in with your opinions .

James Brolin has done a ton of voice stuff for decades. I was really suprised how often I recognized his voice once I put it togeather with his name. Especially older stuff.

2 fun names from the past:
Paul Frees - this guy did it all. He was Boris Badenov, the Pillsbury Doughboy, dubbed the Roman soldier in the "I'm Spartacus" scene, Ghost Host in Disney's Haunted Mansion, tons of cartoons, (even the voices of both John Lennon and George Harrison in the 1965 The Beatles cartoon series, haha), tons of tv & movie appearances, dubbed scenes for Humphrey Bogart in his (Bogart's) final film. If you're a fan of 60's and early 70's cartoon series, you'll love this guy. In the 1970 film Patton, Frees provided the voices of a war correspondent interviewing Patton while Patton rides his horse, and of a member of Patton's staff, as well as voice-overs for several other actors, including the Moroccan official hosting a troop review for Patton. Frees is also heard in Tora! Tora! Tora! as the English-language voice of the Japanese ambassador to the United States. He did stuff like this all the time. Take a look at his Wikipedia site: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Frees Thurl Ravenscroft - the singer of "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" in the original "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," Tony the Tiger on the Frosted Flakes commercials, all kinds of voices for Disneyland (when Disney was wholesome). He was a devout Christian. When Ravenscroft died in 2005, Kellogg's ran an advertisement commemorating Ravenscroft, the headline reading: "Behind every great character is an even greater man." Just some fun info re: 2 guys I'd like to see remembered. |

Levon Helm. You philistines might know him as the old man in Shooter that still has the shovel. He was the drummer/singer for The Band and played Jack Ridley in The Right Stuff. He also narrated it.
