Visited my pops whom does not live in the best area (mostly diversity - I am having a tough time getting him out of his house). Left his house was pulling up to a light and the next thing you some guy in a Jeep Commander is backing up fast straight at me. I leaned on my horn hard and he kept coming - I attempted to put the car in reverse but it just happened so fast.

I get hit and get out. Mr. diversity guy opens his door and starts screaming racial crap at me - honky this, honky that mother f*cker that. I said I am calling the cops. Next thing you know he tears out of there. I got his plate as he drove way. Meanwhile across the street more diversity starts screaming f*ck you honky, white this, white that - it was surreal.

The police come, take all the information. I give the cop his plate and the cop says this is serious because its hit and run. Next thing you know I see the freaking Jeep coming back the other way and the guy sees the cop, drives over the curb and jumps the light to get away. The cop calls it in to dispatch.

I have an Audi and the hood is crushed, the bumper is ruined as is the grill. Fortunately its driveable.

A week before Christmas. Yay for me.

Nope.

Nor will he face any consequences for his actions.
In CA it is the unlicensed and uninsured illegals that are the primary offenders.

It is a right of passage in CA to get hit by one and have the cops do nothing at best, at worst shepherd the illegal away from the scene without consequences.

Pretty much. I called my insurance company. They really enjoyed the hit and run part but they liked that I got his plate.

The first go around the guy hit others, and the police caught up with him. He tried to run over an officer, who then shot him in the face. DRT. That was satisfying.

Yeah I have been working on it. He is 82 and getting him out that house has been tough. I am going to have to use a crowbar. He really, really, really doesnt like change.

Some day I will tell you guys the story about another Mr. Diversity whom lives next door to my pops - spraying him in the face with a power washer and than tell us he is going to chop us up with a machete. That was a fun day.

I remember years ago driving past neighborhoods on the "Dark Side" of town and seeing brand new Cadillac SUV's parked in the driveways of homes where the car was more expensive than the house. I've also driven through those same neighborhoods and the "natives" would give you the evil eye as you drove through. I didn't get the same kind of reaction until I was in the Border Patrol and drove through the neighborhoods in Ysleta. These areas are not the kind of thing one would normally associate with being in the United States of America. At least I didn't until I drove though them.

And, people wonder why I am against mandatory insurance for gun owners. I live in a State where insurance is required to drive, and I have lost count the number of people who have hit me and the first words out of their mouth is, "Let's just let it go. I don't have insurance."

Ms. Diversity plowed into the back of my car. After giving me her sob story, she hopped into her car and took off. Cops couldn't do anything; she had Temp tags on the car she was driving so there were no chance in finding it. Afterwards, a former cop gave me this advice. First thing you do after getting hit is take a photo of the other car's VIN. It's much harder to change that than plates. Couple years later, I got hit again - this time the driver was from England who left his insurance info in his hotel room. The VIN came in handy for the insurance company when it came to dealing with the rental car company for the payment of the repairs.

Since I had the guy's plate I also found the VIN on the web.

Havent found his name yet. NJ is one of the few states that doesnt release DMV info without a court order.
