Like the title says. The wife and I are spending the day in the city. Any recommendations on food, stores, and sites?
I’m really interested in antique stores. I’d love to do the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth but I’m trying to be nice to with wife. |

There was a seafood restaurant on Tybee Island way out in nowhere that was excellent. Take a driving tour of the old houses. You mean Fort Pulaski? If so, it's great. Fort McAllister is worth a trip, too. Thanks for the correction. Pickens was the last one I visited. I got the first letter right at least! |

Wife and enjoyed one of the ghost tours.
I think there are some antique stores a block or two south of River Street. River street itself is pretty cool with shops and such. |

I've spent a LOT of time in the area since my grandparents lived nearby on Skidaway.
Something kind of unusual/fun would be to go to Pin Point where Clarence Thomas grew up. There's a museum in the former oyster packing plant, it doesn't take all that long to see. |

8th Air Force Museum!!!

The soul food restaurant I ate at there was not bad although prices were higher than expected. Looked like half the people around there were surprised to see me in that AO |

If you're into the paranormal, I recommend taking a walking ghost tour at night. At the very least you get to go into some historic houses and buildings that aren't normally open to the public.

The bar under the olde pink house is my favorite bar on earth. And I’ve seen a lot of bars.

But the church and park were right there in downtown Savannah. |

I used to eat at flying monk noodle bar way too much.
Another+1 for Mrs Wilkes. I liked getting drinks and snacks at rocks on the roof. |

There is a really cool small museum in town. I can't remember the name of it. Basically one guys stuff. It had a lot of military stuff.
