Well, as some of you know by now, New York passed a law requiring disclosure of all social media use in the past three (3) years in order to qualify for a license to OWN and/or carry a handgun. They also shortened renewal periods to 3 years.
The date that is 3 years from my next renewal is thus fast approaching, after which I shall go silent. To the various alphabet and local agencies tracking me, my apologies for this interruption. *Sarah McLachlan I Will Remember You plays softly as slideshow of past GD depravity scrolls* I'll miss you most of all System Message... |

That's holding up? I figured that it would go down in flames quickly.

Arfcom isn't social media it's a news outlet with breaking news all the time

Just get another account and have someone buy you a membership.

Many here share the same opinion as New York and will judge you based on your Facebook also.
|
|
Only post in the paid member forums. Make them work for their information.

Even if it withstood legal challenge, ARFCOM archives old posts after 4 months and names aren't attached to them.
My renewal is next year and hochul can choke on my thicc cock. |

Not sure how they're going to correlate your username to your real identity unless they're requiring you to provide IP addressing as part of your application.

I’d only disclose public social media. Unless your name is ems jeep IRL I wouldn’t bother. It’s clearly a private account.

Didn't the NY Sheriffs Union or whatever they call it in NY put out a press release saying they didn't have the personnel or the time to search applicants' social media accounts?

User name change + VPN + change your avatar to something that looks like an electrician or day trader or something...

I'd submit a facebook account that I only post goatse on several times a day.
|
|
Archived shit won't have your username attached. Precisely for reasons like this.

I lost all my social media accounts in a tragic boating accident.

how would they know if you failed to disclose your arfcom activity?
I'm not encouraging breaking any laws or anything, but I will state unequivocally that if I were in this position I would maintain 1 or 2 publicly discoverable social media accounts kept for the sole purpose of disclosing them and their zero posts, likes, or shares. Any other social media that I do interact with would not be disclosed or publicly discoverable. I am a free man, regardless the laws which surround me. |

Had a guy in front of me the other day at a red light with a Gadsden license plate. Wouldn’t turn right on red.
The irony feels remarkably similar here |

Get the agencies to define social media, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat are social media. ARFCOM is a firearms discussion forum. I think NYSP has court appeal on those laws?
|
|
|
Don't worry.... The glowies here will share every arfcom post you ever made with the state boys, so there's no hiding from your 'past. '
