I've come to the conclusion that there are aspects of life that we will simply never fully understand. I'm comfortable with that. Yep, its kinda cool actually. Whenever I have deja vu, Ill stop what im doing and concetrate on it , just to see how long it will last, what else I can "remember" |

I think most of us, if we are fully honest with ourselves, have at some point in our lives experienced something strange along these same lines. How many of you have been somewhere before, a place you know you've never in your life visited previously, but a place you also instinctively know you've been to before? I have. And it is indeed a weird and creepy feeling. It is so weird and creepy in fact that I'm reluctant to even mention the particulars of my experience because it flat out gives me the willies. I posted something along the lines of this a few months back and people said I was on drugs/ crazy.
What I posted wasn't even really far out either. |

When we were way younger my little sister (she was just starting to talk ) and our family was in a park having a picnic and a plane flew over.
She said when she was older sheflew airplanes but crashed and was injured and later died. My dad asked her what happened and she said that the cable holding the wings snapped and the fabric tore off the wings and she crashed into a farm building. I thought it was cool but my parents had a look on their face of worry and disbelief. I can only think that she was talking about early barnstorming aviation. |
| when my son was 3 or 4 he talked about how he used to be a fireman. We did not think anything of it because little boys want to be firemen, until we questioned him about it he insisted it was before he was born and he told us this elaborate story about how he was a fireman before he was born and he died because his heart stopped working when he was in a burning building and wanted to know what his name used to be because he could not remember it. |

Here is a map I pulled from the internet. It would have been around 34th and Woodlawn to my best recollection. http://www.seattlebikeblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/pave_n34th_clip_image001-600x478.jpg Best mspaint ever!! |

Never underestimate the human mind's desire to make meaning out of coincidence. Some things experienced by some of us go far beyond coincidence. I'm a very logical, reasonable, proof seeking person. I'm agnostic. I can say with absolute certainty that I've experienced things which can't be explained with physics or science. |

I've had it so strong a few times that I felt like I knew what was going to happen next. One incident happened during the making of a part at work (toolmaker). I'd never made the part before but about half way in, I started getting the feeling that I had and then everything about that day came to be familiar. I had this strange feeling that I was going to scrap the part, so I started being extra careful. I actually did scrap the part with a dumb mistake. It wasn't an expensive part and I was actually quite amused by the entire experience. The feeling of deja vu would wash over me periodically throughout the day. A very bizarre experience. |

I've got another quick one.
My boy was about 7 and writing a paper on his great grandpa's WW2 experiences. He mentioned his grandpa's friend Fred in the story. Nobody had ever mentioned that name to him with regard to grandpa having a buddy named Fred, from the war. Indeed, my grandpa had a very close friend, from the war, named Fred. What are the odds of that? |

Every time there's been a death in the family, I won't sleep the night before. This night was no different.......
Coming back home from a camping trip when I was 15, dad passed a VW Bug going the opposite way that had a casket strapped to the top. I mentioned it to dad. He didn't see it and we both shrugged. Got home and found a family member dead. |

Most likely someone discussed that in front of him and he latched onto the fact.
Adults often talk with children around, not thinking that they are listening or even forgetting they talked about a particular subject. But the kids soak it up. He pulled it out and phrased it in an odd manner and suddenly it's some kind of psychic link? I don't think so. |

I meant to simply convey that the ol " kid heard it somewhere" theory wasn't nearly as interesting as a reborn soul. |

My youngest son (he's 17 now) used to talk about when he "was big before". He'd talk about riding his motorcycle and being killed in a wreck. He also knew about some things a 2 year old wouldn't know. One day we were listening to a Falcon's game on the radio and he pointed at the radio and said "football!". He knew what it was just from the sound. |

My aunt woke up screaming one night complaining of horrible head pains, my mother said it woke the whole house. My grandparents took her to the ER and as they where taking her in the hospital a ambulance pulled in with a patient. Here the guy in the ambulance was her (the one with the head pain) twin brother. He hit a tree on his motorcycle and ate a tree with no helmet. There was noting wrong with his twin. Crazy... |

I know exactly what you mean, but if you haven't been to the area, you'd never understand how off the path we were. The only reason I was driving that way was almost to try and find a back route to the campus, so I was off the arterial path to some extent. Could he have been there before? Maybe. Would someone have told him something about one of the buildings there? Maybe, but the odds are pretty low. Still in the realm of possibility though. |

My mind is as open to that as I am to paranormal explanations. That said, it is a pretty big coincidence if it's nothing. Quoted:

I wanna say my mom had dreams of things happening before they happened. She told me that my grandma had the same phenomenon.
I am not a skeptical person in any form, but I have no reason to not believe her. I had the luxury of working with a kid who has Aspergers. While not this particular child, some of the stuff I obtained while educating myself on the whole realm of autism led me to some interesting stories that fall into the "paranormal" category. I wouldn't doubt that these persons may have some connections that those of us without the conditions lack. People who fall under the autistic spectrum are some of the most interesting people you will ever meet. I had a Captain in my unit in Iraq who I am certain had Asperger's. He knew more than I could handle about ballistics and the numbers involved. Yet he never looked you in the eyes. |

Quoted: WOW! You hear stories like that, but that it happened to you is amazing! Quoted: Quoted: I'm not autistic, but when I was about 13 I was in my closet changing clothes and I felt my grandfather die. He was 500 miles away, but it hit me like an incredible pain in my stomach. It was devastating and it literally took me down to the floor, like I'd been punched or something. The sensation lasted for about 20 seconds, and then it just lifted off of me and I felt this sense of relief. An hour later we received a call that he had died. I guess I already knew, but I didn't feel all that sad even though I loved him very much, I just had this feeling of peace. WOW! You hear stories like that, but that it happened to you is amazing! I've had similar experiences, but not quite as direct as what bugy posted. But I have felt and predicted a few deaths (and not things that would be obvious to predict, like a cancer patient or something). It's never this powerful feeling, it's more of a hint in a passing thought, or usually, a dream. Usually they are within the same day but sometimes it's up to a week out. I never really talked to anybody about it, but one time I was 14 years old, and I had a dream that a horse at the local stable had died. He was young, perfectly healthy, had NO outward appearance of anything wrong no medical problems, nothing. So the next day mom and I are pulling into the farm, and out on one of paddocks is a blue tarp with a big lump under it. I turned and just as calm as could be said "huh, that's weird, I guess WhatsHisName really did die." Fucker was out running around and had a brain aneurism or heart attack or whatever, and just fell over DRT. Everyone there was freaking out, kids were crying, it was a whole mess. Somehow already knowing made me completely emotionless about it. My mom asked me some questions about how I knew that. She proceed to explain that grandma was a fey and could predict death, I must have gotten a hint of it from her. Mom said that she herself didn't have this ability at all, but grandma had it to the point it was disturbing. I'm an eternal skeptic and I'm not going to be vying for the Randi Prize anytime soon. I just chalk it up to universe being a complicated and little understood place and move on. |

They mainly don't talk about it a lot so they don't sound crazy. |

Or for a more modern day thing, the newer generations and high tec gadgets, they just seam to KNOW how to work them. Certainly, that's not due to the tremendous amount of research, time, and investment put into HCI engineering, no, sir.
Now back to the thread. Young kids do say some interesting and unnerving things sometimes. Supposedly, when I was really small, one day I told my parents about when I was a big man on a sailing ship and it sort of freaked them out. I was probably trolling them. |
| After our daughter died I joined Compassionate Friends at one of our meetings a mother and daughter came to the meeting. They had lost a son/brother months before the daughter had a son. She said after her brother died her 3 yr old kept saying he wanted to go with his uncle. He talked about conversations he was having with his dead uncle and kept talking about going with his uncle. The women said she was worried her son might do something to try and be with his uncle. She said one day while watching TV he turned to her and said uncle told him he should stay with mommy. She said he never talked about him again. |

Everyone you are close to today has been with you before and will be with you in the future. I truly believe this. The soul is immortal and will be back again in various guises. My 4 yr old grand niece has said things to make me believe she is the soul of my brother who passed away 18 yrs ago. He loved his daughter so much am I sure he returned to be with her. Look into books by Michael Newton PH.D, Life between Lives and Destiny of Souls Your son is unique as you know and is someone from your past life history. He soul has chosen to be here for a reason. I do not doubt this one bit Odd. The Coast to Coast show this morning kind of canvased this idea with reincarnation; that our family and friends all intermingle throughout time. http://www.coasttocoastam.com/guest/olson-bob/67656 OP going along the lines of the radio show; your son could be a reincarnated family member. I remember a number of years back in the news, there was this small boy that knew everything about a WWII aircraft (P-51?) and the family ended up finding the flyer's sister; the pilot died in the aircraft iirc. |
