Gunshops should keep a jar of bacon on the counter. You want a gun? Sure thing, just have a piece of good ol American bacon first. |

Great job by your staff.
Now as far as the AP is concerned there is no story, because gun stores are not out of control and handing out guns to anyone who asks. |

Quoted: wow crazy to read this thread just now, I was listening to this story on the way home. The radio had it a littledifferent. The setup was that he was buying ammo, some magazines, and six pounds of smokeless powder but asked the cashier 'what smokeless powder was' and that was the tip off ––- any truth? ETA: saw the other article, guess its just a matter of details Either way, great job! Yep, that's what local news is saying too. It was Guns Galore in Killeen. The owner said they were suspicious when someone pulled up in a Taxi. he also bought a uniform at a surplus store. |
|
Good thing you contacted the Ft Campbell Provost Martial's Office instead of the ATF, they would have told you to go ahead with the sale, and the story would probably not have the same ending.

Good call on the refusal. I've made several purchases in that store and you've got a great crew there. I'll be happy to give them more business.

Question-
Would the AWOL status came up on the background check? (Denied/Delayed) I wish at the store I worked we would have been allowed discretion in sales. |
|
Awesome! So... is that employee going to get a raise or something? I'm thinking potentially saving dozens of lives looks pretty good on his year end performance review.

Thank your staff for their discernment & fine judgment. Well done guys! thanks you sir, and you should throw the said staff member a case of ammo, maybe a new rifle, or some other goodies for a job well done, |

I am very proud of our team member's performance in this issue. I have no other comments. David Hensley President, Quantico Tactical Major, US Marine Corps (Ret) Well done. I have many questions that I would like to have answered, but I'm not going to ask them as any response that you may give could be used by his future defense attorney. You have already wisely chosen to not comment further. Thank you. |

Three Points of Clarification: #1: We know it is was Abdo because he left behind the copy of his orders he was attempting to use to purchase the weapon. #2. To Be Clear: We reported what we found on Sunday 3 July. Apparently, based upon what I have seen on the news, sometime on or around 27 July, "Guns Galore" in Killeen TX reported him to the Killeen TX Police Department who tracked him down and arrested him. #3. I do know know whether or not he visited our store in Killeen, TX. I like to think he did not. Editorial Note/Opinion: I believe this is a great testament to the diligence of alert/aware gun store workers. I further think it is a testament to the local law enforcement agencies who took seriously the reports from both the Quantico Tactical team at Ft Campbell and the crew at Guns Galore in Killeen. My hat is off to both store crews and the efforts of local law enforcement. |

Impossible. My friends at the Democratic underground assured me that gun stores literally hand out guns to everyone. Especially ones run by former baby killers such as yourself. ![]() Good job. Hope they put that fuckhead under the jail. ![]() No no no - its machineguns, grenades and rocket launchers they hand out to everyone... OP - good job from your team, and a well-done on the press release! |

I wonder if y'all actions put the feds on the "hunt" for him? Maybe he was already on there radar? Sound like you should be buying your guys a few rounds. Good job!! I was wondering too, but I'm sure its hush-hush. Quoted:

You very well might have been what got the ball rolling on this guy.
You might have saved lives. Your team member deserves a bonus. |

Excellent job.
This guy sounds to be damn near a raving lunatic. Makes you wonder how he was still walking the streets. The obviousness kind of reminds me of Hassan. |

I do applaud the actions of both gun stores, but think maybe Guns Galore might have observed a refusal policy as well, instead of letting the smokeless powder walk out the front door...seems a bit like "yeah, he was suspicious so we took his money, then called the authorities..."

No telling how many good people are still walking around today because of the good judgment your team member provided.
