He's a smart guy and is very articulate...but now-a-days, the more he opens his mouth, the less I like him.
Haven't liked him since his last JRE podcast. |

He fancies himself a genius on all subjects because he gained attention for being well spoken in one subject. When you actual hear him speak on anything out of his lane, he's actually a complete dumbass and he talks down to anyone who disagrees with him, because you know, he's a scientist who knows all.

I can’t wait for all of Latin America to finish flowing across the border. Watching blacks get shoved to the side by the race baiting establishment is going to be delicious.

He runs a planetarium, and has no significant papers or scientific accomplishments to his name. I first read the idea that whites are more like monkeys than blacks 30 or 40 years ago.

Where is the actual source? The video in OP is just sone random guy reading some random article.

Allers, an associate professor of physics and astronomy at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, said she met Dr. Tyson in 2009 at a party after a gathering of the American Astronomical Society. He was examining her tattoo of the solar system, which stretches along her arm to her collarbone, and she said he followed the tattoo with his hand, putting it into her dress. He said he was looking for Pluto, she said. So, he gave himself permission to touch her, tracing the tattoo to see if he could find ‘Pluto’ (or was he really trying to find Uranus) ? |

Of course hominids resemble each other. It’s taxonomy. Variations exist of course. Some hominids can carry bigger chips on their shoulders, but modern psychologists have failed to develop the standardized CCQ test, so it’s left as a take home exercise for social psychologists and free lance forensic anthropologists. Public transportation is a good field study location.

I can’t stand the guy. He’s the embodiment of the “well akchually” guy. He has to let everybody know that he’s the smartest guy in the room at all times. His tweets about movies show this perfectly. He’s unable to enjoy anything just for the entertainment value, he has to use it as an opportunity to show off.
The fact that they love him on Reddit tells you everything you need to know about him. |

In this thread:
1) People who determined that he is racist without having seen the video where the statements are clearly meant cynically 2) People who apparently determined his guilt on a sexual assault accusation based on (so far at least) unfounded accusations, something they wouldn't tolerate if it were done to someone they like. Even more sad is the fact that there's a guy who made a whole video about Tyson who KNEW that he wasn't making those statements in seriousness, and the fact that only a couple of people decided to look up the actual source material. |
