Holy fuck that post and that looks like a concept vehicle from 20 years ago

It'll really be a fru fru plastic clad new Blazer. $55K up, able to cross small rivulets of water coursing down the curb sides of roads during a light rain.

I had an '89 GMC full size Jimmy...say K5...that I highly modified for off roading all over the western U.S. This new "Jimmy" makes a sacrilege of the name. Seems like Jeep is the only one staying somewhat true to the off road label.

Two things - one is that the text of that 'announcement' sounds like it was written by an Ozzie. Second is it keeps referring to a convertible, and that ain't no convertible.

That's because the picture OP posted is a GMC Graphyte concept from 2005. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Wouldn't surprise me, same company had the stones to call this abomination a "Nova"...

I like what GMC’s been doing across their line, but if they base the new Jimmy (as a Jim, I really hope they don’t call it that) on the new Blazer platform it will look good but just be a glorified station wagon, no ground clearance like the concept pic (reused or not) above...

I’m sure they will do the name is much justice as they did with the Blazer

I miss when cars had an actual functional bumper that would absorb impacts up to a certain speed, and you wouldn't have to have the whole front or rear end of the car replaced after a minor fender bender.

I liked this style of the James when it debuted. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/481249/Screen_Shot_2019-04-20_at_9_46_22_AM_png-918786.JPG View Quote |

That has to be a joke. There is no fucking way. View Quote I didn't even need to look it up to know that was a concept photo from the early 2000s. It has that melted plastic soft curved look that was so popular then. Even the headlights are straight out of the "We just figured out what projectors are" style and not chock full of LEDs like any recent concept would be. |

Absurdity is probably third behind outrage and porn as far as driving ad revenue online. OP didn’t even leave us a link, but I doubt I’ve heard of the site he copied this from. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

It's all junk for page ranks with Google and click through's on FB. The same thing happened when ford announced they were building a new bronco. Every article uses Renderings created by people who aren’t even associated with Ford to show a bad ass looking suv and everyone talks about how awesome the new Bronco is. In reality it’s going to look like a rounded off modern crossover. |
